Why is disallowed proper Twitch links as nicknames?
We are forced to use hieroglyphics like "T.TV" and find out the real address later? if someone is a streamer, let put a proper address in the nick or a new section bellow so we can visit their stream, and not a bloody hieroglyphic jeez

I'm not saying you're exactly wrong but it also doesn't exactly take a genius to figure out what T.TV means. Plus, for people with longer names, it probably makes sense to shorten it like that anyway.
Personally I'm not even affected by it so I couldn't care less what happens. A lot of people don't know how to act properly to begin with, so I find it hard to bring myself to even want to look into a random Twitchy with two viewers just to watch that kind of behavior with camera.
I made that mistake one single time when I first started playing, because I wanted to exdplain to somebody I left behind that I was sorry that I didn't think I could save them and took the hatch. We were against a Trapper, had been 3 gen'd, and there was traps all over the place where the only other person alive (the streamer) had just gotten hooked. I knew where the hatch was, so not wanting to die, I ran over to the hatch and waited to get out.
I figured for no particular reason, I guess I was just feeling nice, I would try to just do something kind and go apologize. I went to the person's stream afterwards and went into the chat saying it was me and I explained that I was pretty new and there was traps all over and I didn't want to risk it since I wasn't confident in myself. The immediate response was for her to blast me in front of all her viewers and tell me that basically what I said was a lie because the killer was her friend or something and I was just "hatch camping." I was like ######### is hatch camping? She just told me essentially to just "shut the ######### up" and banned me from the chat.
For a second, I couldn't believe this tub of lard would be so ######### to just trash all over a new player like that, who's just trying to come in and explain that they're sorry and why they did what they did, and put them on blast in front of all their viewers (granted it wasn't too many, but it wasn't just some person with 2 viewers, they had a small group going). I couldn't believe it for a second, and then I remembered, "oh yeah, there's a reason I hate people." Never again.
So while it's kind of weird, I feel like that's a really low priority issue. It wouldn't be worth the resources for the result it would give.

Entity_hugs... I kind of agree with some of what you're saying. I used to check out streamers after playing with them. I was kind of bummed to hear their hateful comments toward my character. Here, I'm their team mate survivor, but in reality they kind of used ugly talk toward me. I stopped checking out streamers. I want to enjoy the game without hearing any hateful comments. I prefer streamers like Ohmwrecker... such a nice guy. Fun, funny and loves his fellow survivors. :)

I sometimes look up a streamer I just clobbered to hear them whine but for the most part, they are toxic. It's like because they have an audience of 2 viewers they think they are the next Tr3, Maryh, Otz Noob. Anytime I play survivor and I see someone with T.TV in their name I worry. Those people tend to be less concerned with finishing gens and more about putting on a show.
If I'm killer they are the first ones to dc when I win a mind game or catch them after they pissed away their DS. My favorite streamer was some random douche that flashlight baited me into chasing him. I was trapper on autohaven. I downed him because I blocked off the loop he ran too before the chase. I hooked him. Someone rescued him in my face and he runs to me. I swing again just so he goes away and to my surprise he didn't have BT. So I pick him up again figuring id take the ds to get it out of the way, it's still early in the match. He ds's me, as I am recovering he vaults a window and steps in my trap. I pick him up and rage quit. I almost wish I recorded that.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about. We do not control what you can or can't make your nickname. The rules for nicknames depend on the platform you're playing on. If that platform doesn't let you put a full URL in your name, that's up to them.
That said, though, there's no difference between putting ttv or twitch.tv. It's pretty universally understood what it means. If anything, sticking a full URL in your name is worse since it's more likely to get truncated.

Honest question, but has anyone ever got twitch famous from advertising in their username. Even the more famous twitch streamers don't have ttv in their name.

Famous from putting that in their name, no. It's a way for smaller streamers to get new people to watch their stream. There's a lot of people out there with 0-5 viewers, so getting noticed in a sea of other small streamers is next to impossible. Putting your stream in your name gets some people to visit your stream, but the only way to get them to stay and keep coming back is to be good at what you do. They aren't going to come back tomorrow because they played with/against you once. You might get your start that way, but at some point you end up high enough in the directory that people start to see your channel more and you just end up growing that way.

I tend not to but ttv in my name as considering i mainly play killer and i do come across some very toxic survivors where they would most likely harass me in twitch chat if they knew i was a streamer. What i do is keep playing always welcome anyone that pop up in the chat and be myself and if they want to follow great if not then thank you for at least having a watch :)

This is probably some of the best advise and honest comment I have seen on this forum. I am curious how did it go for you as a Dev of the game when you stream? Like did you start small or did you explode due to the game?
Hit me up with a link I'll watch some. Always good to check out other killers and learn new tricks that person does.
