Kinda wish I could tip my hat to an opposing player on console sometimes

I’ve had the game on Xbox, and Switch, but have just recently really have been getting into this game on of all platforms, the Switch. I’ve only played survivor so far, and am waiting to get the courage so to say to try killer for the first time hopefully soon.

The real point of this post though, is that I would really like to option to give props to an opponent for a really good game sometimes. Played a game the other night (again as a survivor), and had a real back and forth game all around. As the exit was opening, there was only myself and one other survivor. I got hooked for a second time, the teammate saved me at the last minute. I made it to the exit, only to be completely surprised by the killer, and he nailed me. I was the last person on the map. He then picked me up, but carried me toward the exit and dropped me so I could crawl out as he slowly walked away. I just thought that was a hell better f a game all around, and that was such a good sportsmanship way to finish, I was really caught off guard....I almost wanted to crawl back to him, and let the killer grab the points. Really made it a memorable match.

I'm with you on this, but I think we're in the minority. Most people seem to hate getting trashtalked more than they enjoy getting kind messages

While you can give props in the results screen by clicking on the report feature beside their loadout; AFAIK the player you give props won't know and doing so does absolutely nothing.

And with how many console DbD players turn off messages and friend requests, there isn't a reliable way to say thanks or give them any kind of positive feedback outside of DbD.

Maybe console will get a post game chat if crossplay ever happens but, with how many PC players earnestly request post game chat be removed, I wouldn't hold my breath.
