Ranking system feels... weird?

I'm getting the feeling lately that matchmaking right now depends mostly on your performance in the last game and not, you know, overall. I'm a rank 3 survivor, I'll get one bad game, and then I get matched against and with green and yellow ranks. Then I get a good game and after that I'm matched against the monster of a killer that I'm nowhere close to. That doesn't make any sense. I know ranks don't meant anything right now, but you can still see (and check - with game hours on profile) their game sense and their skill set, and it doesn't seem to count overall experience and game hours. It's simply frustrating to get such unfair games, and it truthfully happens a lot. I save some post game screenshots when it happens, and for 1 month, there is quite a lot of them. Yesterday a rank 9 killer had a meltdown in the post game chat because he got matched against red ranks, including rank 1... I'd rather wait than feel so uncomfortable because of situations like that one again. I know that posts like these usually get a response of "oh well, that's just your experience, and the majority of players is fine", but I feel like my experience has a place too.

    I agree with most of this except...

I might be in the minority, but I would rather play people who out rank me and get stomped and try to get better, then wait for 15 minutes for a game because my rank reset. Only as long as it isn't every game.

    Waiting for que's is what takes me out of the game and makes me want to switch it up and play something else. Both the match making and rankings are broken. The monthly resets do not affect the die hard, play all the time people. They do affect the people who play frequently but take breaks, and even the noobs.

    31,544 playing 39 mins ago according to Steam Charts. 43,575 24 hour peak. Thats 6,308/8,715 potential games during those times. It baffles me that it takes as a Rank 16 killer 10-15 minutes to find a game. Insane.

    If I play a killer or survivor that I dont usually use, or with perks I dont usually use to work on getting a tome challenge done, I have to wait again to que back up. 10-15 minute ques, and 10-15 minute games. Not much time to get as much gameplay in as I should be with the current concurrent player base if I cant be on for hours and hours at a time.

    There has to be SOMETHING that can be done.
