Clown Rework Concept: Clownish Concoctions

So a few folks and I were discussing Clown and I came up with this rework concept. As I'm sure many know, Clown is the worst killer in the game, so I wanted to try my hand at a rework that would simultaneously make him stronger, and keep his identity as a relatively-immobile Killer that lobs bottles at people, and so this was born.

The Afterpiece Tonic pretty much functions as it currently does, with the exception that the Starling Feather and Robin Feather have been made Base Kit, and landing a Direct Hit will inflict an extra Hinder effect on par with Flask of Bleach. (Flask of Bleach would remain the same: Applying to all in the gas). I figure he'd probably start with 4 or 5 of these, and being his favorite they would probably reload the most quickly (15 seconds when active, 5 seconds when stored.)

The Overnight Acid was created to simultaneously improve his map pressure, keep with his themes, and add something unique (A ranged Gen-damaging ability). Generally speaking I figured the Overnight Acid would likely regress Generators at 1.25x or 1.5x at base, with addons ramping that up. Note that you can still unhook if you're burned by the Acid, it's just that you can't pop a gen in his face while he's huffing his way over there, but this ends up being dramatically weaker in Indoor maps, and Afterpiece Tonic is still a mediocre chase power at best, which leads to the final bottle type. As for the Overnight Acid, I figure this would likely feature 2 or 3 bottles, and reload fairly slowly (30 seconds when active, 10 seconds when stored)

The Carnevil Brew, a concoction that inflicts Oblivious and Blindness for an extended duration. Not sure how long, but the general idea is that if you find someone in a really strong spot on the map, or if you're chasing someone and want to prep someone else, you can hit them with this bottle and catch them later. Although weaker on wide open maps, this bottle is strong in Indoor maps, sort of the opposite of the Overnight Acid. The Blindness effect is tacked on primarily because Object of Obsession is a thing. As for initial estimates, I'd probably say 1 or 2 bottles that reload slowly (45 seconds while active, 15 seconds while stored).

Obviously addons would need rewriting, Statuses would probably get added to Carnevil Brew, Afterpiece would get better slows, durations, and AOEs, and Overnight Acid addons would likely improve Regression Rate.

    Please do this rework devs or something similar. It makes Clown more interesting and fixes his issues.

    His base power... well yes.

    With addons? Deathslinger is worse.


    Also, clown after this rework still would be weak. His biggest issue is lack of lethality. Maybe if there was a poison build up, that puts survivor in the broken status after some time in the gas. Lets say you need 45 points or 45 seconds in the gas and diret hit with bottles also would give 10/15 points. It would deplete over time, 1 point per 2 seconds lets say, with possibility of still adding points. Red head's pinky finger would then remove poison build up and still give exposed status effect.

    Clown still wouldn't be the best killer, but he would still be better (probably around lvl of plague), also he would become the most toxic kiler in the game.


    Another, much easier change would be to just remove his slowdown effect, when he is throwing the bottle.
