It can go both ways
I've seen countless people encourage boring mechanics. I understand they're in the game, but they make it boring for everyone. But I've realized that survivors can pull and UNO reverse card. Since they can encourage those couldn't survivors encourage tbagging and flashlight clicking. They're mechanics in the game! We are allowed to use them, but people find it annoying. Because it agrivates and bores the killer. Just like tunneling and camping does for survivors. See? You're methods can be reversed.

No ones calling teabagging and flashlight clicking legit strategies.
People however are calling tunneling and camping legit strategies

Because the first doesn't actually have a gameplay effect, unless you get under the killers skin and make them gain tunnel vision. . . so maybe it does.
The second simply ties into the killers objective, which is to kill. Doesn't mean it's a good strategy, but it's workable.

I call teabagging/clicking legit strategies. It's the same way you would teabag or taunt someone in a fighting game, to affect their psychology. You might be able to get the killer to tunnel you for 3 gens while they angrily chase after you. The only teabagging I consider really unsporting is at exit gates. It's the same with flashlight clicking.
