We have people who make great use and guides

  • true on wraith and ghostfaces,
  • otz on trapper,
  • there's the huntress lad and jund plays a lot of huntress to their channel
  • a channel for the doctor, can't remember their name, otz featured them one time.
  • a channel, there's the guy that does super in depth demogoron videos,
  • scropz on the pig
  • michi for the hag.
  • ryuga's whole thing is the legion. there's another guy who also does a ton of legion videos
  • tofu just made that video on nurse. and other great killer guides in general.

like these people have show great use and value out of their favorite killers, and have improved so much and learned so many little things out of them. but i just wanna know where plague players at? because i love her design, she's like visually my favorite and the concept of her power is so cool i feel like i down people just as fast with her as any other killer but i still get rushed so hard so idk where im doing wrong.

also suggestions on other channels/streamers on specific killers are welcome.

I could use some killer channels as well. I've just been rewatching some of Otz's stuff lately. Gonna be checking out some of those you listed tho. Cheers man

Not going to lie, been watching Michi and he plays exactly as I used to as Hag (back when I used to play her exclusively). It's insane because I thought I was the only one who trapped in that style and in those spots. Been really enjoying the content recently. (Although I gotta admit, Michi might be a bit better than I was since I'm learning some tricks off of Michi)

Do you know who's the guy that does the demo videos?

i trapped like that a lot and people always said to do it the old way. but i discovered playing like that instead and actually found it way more effective to play traps off like that and using the camera pull to your advantage. watching mitchi's great for learning new stuff toolike how to force survivors to make an impossible decision and how not to get too aggro when you don't need to.

If I streamed I would probably show off my plague gameplay as she is my main

Plague needs a better rework before she's even useful. She's too slow and the only channel you'll get with her is survs running circles around her.

She's not good, she's anything but good, she's mediocre at best and by far one of if not the most poorly designed killers in the entire game. Pay close attention to the wording there: I did not say she was the worst killer I said she was the most poorly "designed" in terms of gameplay and I absolutely despise her because of it. I think that's probably one of the worst things about her she's not actually even the worst killer in the game she's just an extremely sad middle ground and because of this her issues have largely been swept under the rug in comparison to other killers who have far more noticeable or pressing issues that need to be fixed.

She is not fun to play against.

She is not fun to play as.

And I am most definitely ALWAYS ready to rant about her at the drop of a ######### dime.

I'm going to start right off the bat with the meat of my point so to speak. Her biggest problem is one that is not necessarily unique to her specifically it is something that has plagued killers in the past which led to some of the biggest reworks for them (Freddy & the Doctor) and it is something that the Pig actually suffers from now. Lack of interactivity.

The fact of the matter that nobody can dispute is that her power is a largely passive one: you throw up on a survivor and that's about it there's nothing more to that. You can continue throwing up on them to speed up the process, but if you really wanted to you could throw up on one guy let him go disengage the chase completely chase someone else and just bide your time while he succumbs to the illness. Even once you do have someone completely sick and broken there is absolutely nothing else to do with her power she is quite literally the definition of an m1 killer at that point since her power does not help down survivors.

The only interactive part of her ability is when she does manage to change her vile purge to corrupt purge but survivors are consistently encouraging each other to never cleanse themselves and for good reason. You'd rather be broken, than give any killer access to the singlehandedly most aggressive, powerful, and easy to use ability out of every single killer on the entire roster. Because 1. it is a ranged attack that can hit from a distance over pallets and through windows 2. it is a spray so unlike the Deathslinger or Huntress it doesn't take skill, you don't have to aim you can quite literally thrash your mouse and screen around to maximize coverage, so it isn't difficult to use even a rank 20 can use it to essentially it's maximum potential 3. it can hit multiple survivors at one time making it an excellent defensive tool to cover hooks and generators that are closed to finished and 4. functions in much the same way Michael Myers EWIII does in that you can steamroll a massive amount of pressure at one time downing one survivor after another in a limited (but generous) slot of time.

And it also happens to be probably the only fun part of her kit. So basically survivors are actively encouraged to cleanse as little as possible limiting your access as a killer to the most effective and fun aspect of her power. Leaving you for the most part of your matches running loops as per normal with no other tool to actually help finish off your chases, because again, the vile purge does not help finish chases you cannot down survivors with the vile purge.

EDIT: To clarify this problem and make it more clear, this is "the passive problem" for killers. In short basically any killer who has a power that is passive in some way, shape, or form is quite simply not as fun as the their compatriots. Her power is passive that is her issue summed up in a few words. In the same way The Pig's power is not as fun because, amidst a few other problems, her Reverse Bear Trap is a completely passive mechanic. As the Pig there is nothing you are doing there, you slap an RBT on top of the head of a survivor and then it is up to them whether or not they get it off in time (not to mention the RBT is completely RNG reliant which is a whole different issue unto itself).

EDIT (cont.): Pre-rework this was something both the Doctor and Freddy suffered from, Freddy's power previously was a slow + aura reveal that was completely passive and did not help his chases at all aside from maybe tracking if you lost a survivor. Doctor walked around in treatment mode essentially waiting for someone who was hiding to scream and blow their cover. All of these mechanics and effects you reaped the rewards of passively. This is hardly fun for the survivor or for the killer because as the killer you're not doing anything special, and for the survivor it feels like the killers are being unfairly rewarded for doing basically and essentially nothing.

And it's no fun from a survivor's perspective either because you as a survivor are stuck with two choices and neither option benefits you in any way. You can either choose to stay sick and eventually become broken, which also by the way limits how efficiently you can stealth since your character will constantly be coughing and throwing up which is a dead giveaway to your location. Or you can choose to bite the bullet say "######### it" and cleanse yourself which is typically a cascading effect where your teammates will also decide "he did it, there's no point in not cleansing now" so all four of you cleanse and vastly hamper your chances of collectively escaping in about thirty seconds.

In this way there is no counterplay to the Plague's power, even if she only threw up on you for a fraction of a second, there is nothing you can do to stop the disease from running its course and applying the broken status effect on you. This illness never goes away either so if you ever need to be rescued off the hook, or someone else needs a heal that spreads throughout the rest of your team. There is no winning decision to make here it's not like deciding when, how, and where to wake up from the dream world against Freddy or whether or not to take the time crouching past Hag traps or run past them quickly but triggering them in the process. You are forced to choose between one of two evils and usually survivors will opt for the lesser of the two: to stay broken.

And the problems don't stop there as a survivor because you aren't even given recompense for suffering through the match, when going up against a Plague you will actually on average have LESS Bloodpoints than against any other killer. Because you're constantly broken you will be taking a huge hit to your altruism category since you will hardly ever be healing your teammates if at all, you'll mostly be getting those altruism points purely off of unhooks and safe unhooks, but kiss those goodbye if you end up being the gen jockey on your team. This also negatively impacts your rank since it will be more difficult to get a good a good score in the altruism category.

Even if I'm going up against the Legion at the very least even if it's not the most fun match, I still reap the benefits from constantly mending and healing throughout the entire match. There's still something to look forward to, something to work for, but not so when it comes to the Plague.

So concluding, the Plague's power is not fun because it is not interactive it is the opposite: it is passive. It is not something that is fun to use and even less fun to go up against because survivors don't have counterplay to fight against it they are instead given two choices neither of which actually benefit them, either stay broken or give the killer access to a broken (figure of speech, not me saying it's "op") power. On top of this survivors on average will earn less bloodpoints when going up against a Plague because they are essentially sacrificing a majority of the altruism category seeing as they never get to heal each other or even themselves (through a medkit / SC)

Note: to reiterate none of this is my saying that the Plague is "op" "powerful" or even "good" the most obvious reason being she can be looped like any other killer to the end of time. She is quite bluntly not fun, in most every aspect, there is no secret message to read into there that is the long and the short of it she was poorly designed and her

To loop this back around and fit my rant snuggly within the context of the thread, it is because of these issues that content creators do not cover her frequently because there is quite simply nothing to do with her. There are no crazy plays you can make, no crazy shots like with deathslinger or Huntress, no genuinely skillful plays like with Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly, Oni, etc. It is also the reason why the community at large does not play Plague even based off statistics from last year. In an official statistic they released in November of 2019 on these very forums she was the least picked killer considering all ranks.

It's for this reason I suspect there's no specific content creator who covers Plague more than anything else.

Honestly never heard of one. If last years statistics are anything to go by almost no one plays her. I can certainly confirm from my own experience that I've faced more clowns than plagues and that's saying something. I've only ever faced three clowns. Having played her myself I find her power pretty frustrating to use. Frequently it fizzles in both forms and honestly it's pretty bad against even a moderately tall loop. Just how clunky it feels is probably a big part of it. She was one I was very eager to play when I heard of her but I barely touch her.

I'll save you a lot of time. Go to youtube and search for Fungoose. He's the best Plague you'll ever watch and you'll learn everything you need. He also streams.

I don't bother listening to what others say when it comes to killer lol, but my god, it was so odd to find someone who plays Hag exactly as I did.

I have not seen Michi but may I assume he traps travel locations rather than loops/gens?

I know I tend to place my traps in spots where a survivor is likely to pass through when not in a chase so as to catch them by surprise and get a quick hit. After you have generated that fear you can change your placement so that they are always on their toes and walking slow.

Monto and Tru3 have made some good Plague build videos.

However, I say this as someone who plays a lot of solo survivor, I'm glad not many people play Plague. Not because of the killer, but due to randoms loving to cleanse.
