Why are so many people against Pennywise?
Yeah why are so many people against him coming into the game? Saying that we have a Clown already is a weak argument. We have 2 chainsaw killers and 2 Stalking killers, why not a second Clown? He technically isn’t even a Clown to begin with. It is his favorite thing to form into, to lure in Children and make them fear him. I believe his real form was a Giant Spider/ Deadlights. Out of all the Licenses, he seems to be at the top of my list and is the most interesting looking one as well. His power could honestly be anything. Hopefully he is the new killer next week and people welcome him as he would be a great addition to the game.

Pennywise is an entity that was created as soon as the universe was created, and his main enemy is literally a giant space turtle that created the universe. He would have no reason to work for entity because it creates no real chaos or fear for him to feed off of. Plus the fact that he is like 100x stronger than the entity.

I prefer the idea of their skills to the killer. That's why I don't like the idea of Jason. What could he do? Another stalker?

In the Friday the 13th Game, he had a few powers. He had a spirit like power where he would passive teleport, he also had a projectile type weapon, there were a few other other but I didn’t really play the game. If he were to come to the game his power would most likely be based off of there.

I don't want him purely because it would break DBD's lore. I know a lot of people don't care, but I do, so much so that I hate even a screenshot of leaked cutscenes from the current Tomes.

I mean he did get beat up by kids, so I wouldn’t say he is “Strong.” Maybe they can say something like Pennywise got tired of doing his 27 yearly routine.

I don't know about that.
I don't remember all the details of IT, but last I remembered Pennywise is far FAR stronger than the Entity. Why wouldn't it just devour her instead of making a deal?
I honestly just don't want Pennywise to be added into the game unless they find an actual logical reason that makes sense inside the lore of the game. Other than just "Making a deal", which again won't happen.
I'm a writer myself and I am struggling to figure out a connection these two can have without one overpowering the other or Deus Ex Machinaing a situation out of thin air.

For me, he's just not interesting. Never cared for the films, either. The clown argument, while weak, is another issue I agree with. We got Leatherface because they were finally able to get licensed killers in their game, which explains why he's in the game despite the Hillbilly. We have enough copycats, I want different themes.

Demogorgon is a beast from another dimension, not a space entity whose rival is a Space Turtle that is the creator of the universe.

Then that wouldn't be Pennywise, that would be another character that takes up the Pennywise name.
Which is what happened with Ghostface.

the thing is, is that penny wise is scary because he transforms into what scares you and warps your prospective/others of the world, him in his default state isn't scary unless you fear clowns and we all know that the devs aren't going to make him shape shift into other forms.
that's why people don't really wont him he just wont be scary since he wont do what he does in the movies and recreating a similar feeling to the movie is not really possible since penny wise adjusts himself to whoever he is messing with and is generally unpredictable.
if he gets added he will just feel like a creepy clown that looks like penny wise but will have none of his appeal.

also how is IT stronger than the entity? the entity can theoretically create a entire world and it forces things into submission. it travels through dimensions and could be older than penny wise since penny wise was created when his universe was created, that does not apply to other dimensions/universes.
I mean the entity has created endless torture and warps the world/itself and IT literally gets beat up by kids and as far as i can tell it wont fight the entity unless it can install fear into the entity which is laughable because the entity has caused some messed up ######### and probably doesn't even have emotions.

We still don’t know a lot from the Entity from DBD tbh. For all we know he probably farted out Pennywise.

And that's good writing. Keep the Mysterious Evil Entity a Mysterious Evil Entity that keeps us guessing and keeps us wanting to know more, but withhold that information and only give us bits of it.
If we were to find out that Pennywise was birthed out of the Entity, then we pretty much can scratch off a ton of possibilities on what she could be just based on what we know about Pennywise.
Making her relatively known rather than unknown. Which is bad for a horror game's lore which hinges on a Mysterious Evil Entity being a Mysterious Evil Entity.

thats not a good power scale to represent IT's strength, for all we know it can just be the biggest flea to the creator of the universe and the entity can be the being that consumes the creator. also again there is the fact that the entity is a being that travels through dimensions and is much more of a threat then IT due to the entity's powers being much more stronger than IT's.
Lastly if it's about getting power like how It feasts on fear than the entity is surely better at that with being able to feast on multiple emotions and having a never ending supply of it since it creates trials and who knows what else to feast on emotions.
as for how strong the entity is to the creator of the universe we cant figure that out but im sure that even if the entity is weaker it will eventually surpass it since it continues to grow in strength and can create and force submission.

Because Pennywise isn't scary in the movie. The regular IT was scary and gave me nightmares as a kid. This one just makes me laugh or think he's a cute clown.

He can teleport, phase walk but see survivors, turn off his terror radius and activate map wide wall hacks and see people based on how much their characters fear him. And throw kunais on top of that. He would certanly have a less complicated power.

Clown is trash. He’s not even in the game. Only in ppl roster so that they get PoP from him. Pennywise though could actually have a power that turns him into some monster after he collects enough fear or something like that. While all clown does is he throws around ######### bottles that does basically nothing to survivors.

Simple, I don't want him ingame because he's a god on par, if not stronger then the Entity, it doesn't make sense how he could be controlled by the Entity. It would completely destroy the lore.

For me its because hed be watered down..the devs have already shut down shapeshifting which was his best skill, plus licensed killers have a long standing streak of being weaker ..freddy has been the sole exception
