I am at defeat...is there any hope for this game and it's community?

I am here, begging at my knees, why, just WHY do most people HAVE to make the others miserable in this community? I consider myself quite the optimist, trying to find good in everything, but I am having trouble trying to figure out why most people have act like this in this community. No matter how nice I be, I get ######### on by everyone else, even though I did nothing to them at all. Is this game supposed to be played by people that have no social limits? I keep making post after post trying to understand this for almost a YEAR, and it has lead to NOTHING. Either it's conversations that leads to nothing, or are people shutting down others opinions and harassing them. I'm BEGGING for an answer, and I will stop at nothing to get the REAL answer.

Some people are just asses. And that's it.

It's a sad truth, especially during these times where people are further plagued with boredom.

Take a break, literally go watch YouTube, play something FUN. That's what I do. I switch from CoD and DBD.

You do realize you are taking a trivial forum way too seriously, don't you?

It's the internet and some people feel that they can say anything they want because there are no consequences. Likely they try to bully others on the internet because they can't in real life, and they resent it. You see this in pretty much any online community.

This community may be slightly worse because there are "sides". For some reason, some people feel that they have to be mains of one side or the other, and the other side is the enemy. They get motivated by community support, and they get their beliefs reinforced by others in the community (even if they are wrong), and they absorb the beliefs of others that are "on their side". You will never convince these types of people of anything, no matter how hard you try. Even if you play both sides, you get treated as a main for the other side if you disagree with something they believe.

Just don't let it get to you. If it does, go away from the forums for a while, or block certain people that are like that.

Then why did you reply if you don't care? You tried to shut me down, your part of the problem.

Did you even read my comment? I did NOT say "no one cares".

I said -and that's a fact judging by your "begging" statement:

YOU ARE TAKING A FORUM TOO SERIOUSLY.

There is no such thing as a problem. If you get stressed out over a forum it's clearly time to do something else.

Aw....thank you. I try my best not to be toxic and try to debate with proof and points.

I have to admit though, it's REALLY difficult some times.

If you don't take it seriously, then why do you use the forums? To make memes? that is what Reddit's for.

I know that a lot of people won't respect my opinions, especially when it goes against the norm, like my absolute hatred of Hillbilly. I don't care.

I just keep doing what I do almost to spite haters, but mainly so that I can hopefully reach someone with a similar view or help others. Misinformation breeds ignorance, which breeds to wild speculation and "truths" based on feelings. So I spread information.

You've just got to play and post for you. You think I made The [Killer] Problem series for others? You think I expect hundreds of posts hating on my opinion because I LIKE IT? No. I do it for me. You've got to find your own outlet in that sense. I write rants about fundamental game issues and paint way too many 40k miniatures.

Keep it casual, take a break once in a while, and just try to be a better person. Try to change the actions of others by being the best version of yourself you can be. Or if you want to change people, change one. Then another, and another after that. Not a whole community at once. You'll go insane if you do and we don't need another lunatic on these forums. My insanity is hard enough to keep track of.

Biggest piece of advice I can give here is this: if someone's resorting to insults and put-downs to silence you, they have no argument. Ignore them.

I'm taking the forums seriously - to a rational extent. You however are taking it TOO seriously. Major difference. I respectfully suggest you do something else for a while.

Just don't let them force you to debate logical fallacies. Stick to the point, and make them stick to the point. Don't let them bait you with nonsensical arguments that have nothing to do with the topic. It's a common tactic for those that know they are wrong.

"I am at defeat...is there any hope for this game and it's community?"

    Probably not.
