New killer idea? The Mimic?
Now here me out. I you ever watched the movie “Mimic” you’d understand why I’d say this. Maybe it was brought up before, but I’m new here.
The Mimic would have two main forms/abilities. The Mimic form, and the Judas Breed (True) Form.
1.) The Mimic Form/Mimicry:
The Mimic starts off appearing as a tall humanoid in a what appears to be a trench coat. In this state The Mimic is free to basic attack survivors with its hidden limbs. Once The Mimic finds a survivor, indicated by the “Survivor Found!” noise, the Mimicry ability can then be activated. Once activated you can take the appearance of the survivor you found! While Mimicry is active your terror radius is reduced to zero. You can run as fast as the killer even in this form. You can also crouch like a player. When you vault all survivors are notified as if they’re the killer being notified of a player doing a rushed action. While under Mimicry The Mimic cannot drop pallets, but can vault across them if they’ve been dropped. The Mimic cannot work on gens, hooks, and totems. The Mimic cannot open chests, or enter lockers. If the player gets close enough they’ll notice that the face becomes more bug-like. With Mimicry you get the opportunity for the “Powerful Jaws” attack in which The Mimic will lunge at the player in an attempt to grapple them. It’s automatically unveils its true form after it grabs the player. It then bites into them before letting them run way. This attack animation lasts about 3 seconds. The adrenaline of a survivor kicks in after the animation ends. The Powerful Jaw attack leaves the player hindered for 30 seconds. The Mimic has to wait 30 seconds before being able to use Mimicry again after finding a survivor.
2.) Judas Breed/Flight Dash:
The Mimic can also unveil it’s true insect form without having to bite someone. In this form it is able to propel across the map in an almost singular direction at massive speed. It cannot change its direction very well so you would have to use it with extreme caution. The special attack in this animation would be “Flight Lunge”. Being able to hit a survivor during Flight Dash. Doing so induces the Deep Wound status effect.
Perks:
A taste for Human Flesh: Whenever the killer enters Bloodlust your terror radius is increase by 10/15/20%. The locations of all survivors inside your terror radius are revealed for 3/4/5 seconds when you enter Bloodlust, and for every time Bloodlust increases a tier.
Blood Frenzy: The taste for blood sends the killer into a frenzy. For each injured survivor decreases the time it takes to start Bloodlust, and decreases the time to tier up to a maximum of 5 seconds.
Evolutionary Triumph: Being able to adapt quickly you learn of where your prey might try to escape. You can see the aura of a hatch within a 24/28/32 meter range when there is only 1 survivor remaining in the trial.
Meaning in outdoor levels it’ll use its Mimicry powers to try to get close enough to ambush survivors with the grapple. Using notifications to mind game them as you close in. In indoor levels or tight spots The Mimic’s Judas Breed form enables it to quickly close in on its prey to strike whenever they’re running through narrow passageways. The perks are based on enhancing bloodlust to make it easier for the killer to end a chase faster. Since players that are experienced enough to chase killers for extended periods. This gives the killer an incentive to do so if they choose since there are now benefits to extending chases rather than to waste all your time doing so. Being able to see the hatch as a killer is a nice bonus so that you can always close it for points. Plus the idea on it being the Mimic since it would know of a tight hole in which one could escape from.
I wanna hear everyone’s thoughts.
