I just wanna know if it will, because I have a lot of friends who play on different platforms, and I really want to play with the but you can't...for now?

Its theorised to soon, but nothing is confirmed.

hackers already did it, so its 100% possible. Imo they're going to release crossplatform, but no one knows when.
