Maybe they should get rid of map offerings.
Maps are clearly not balanced. Some favor survivors, some favor killers. Maybe not have it so that players can choose which maps they get sent to and prepare accordingly. The maps can be frustrating for both sides. At least if it's random you can't prepare for it and balance it even more in your favor, and less for the other side.
At least until they can get the maps balanced a bit better.

Because I never get a stock pile too high of most maps, I feel like this isn't that much of an issue. And I like being able to play a map offering that may counter the map offering of your opponent. Thats kind of fun to see. I dont feel like the maps are SO imbalanced that this ruining the fun of the game...except maybe Hawkins. That map is trash. 😄

I would do that with the Meat Plant. I hate that place so much, especially against a Doctor.

Meat plant is iffy for me as Huntress and great as Nurse. :D

Only issue I can see with this is that it'd be the death of certain gimmick builds. Trying to do Jumpscare Myers and getting one of the many big, open maps instead of an indoor map basically ruins the whole build.
Right now, I'd say that it'd be a good change to remove them. But ideally, we could just have more balanced maps and buffs for other offerings instead.

I see what you mean, I'm like that with Shelter Woods, I absolutely detest Shelter Woods as killer and survivor, and it is so common in my rotation.

I love corn maps as a Survivor as well. I hate them as Killer unless I am playing Hag or Trapper.
I hate meat plant with all my heart, even as killer. I only do well on that map when I play with Trapper with darkened traps and bloody coil.

I gotta say no. While the game is at its 4 year mark, even with new content added regularly (great job trying to keep things fresh), random matches can get old.
Some fun builds are bases on map offerings to be successful. Could you imagine using a Scratched Mirror Myers on Rotten Fields? There’s just real logical reason to abolish map offerings to me.

I once had corn map after corn map after corn map, one day while playing as killer. Which killer was i playing? Ghostface.

You know you bring up a fair point here. This might make during certain builds alot less fun, if you are unable to get just the right map for something like Jumpscare Myers. That and another issue that might run into is well. With the idea the others in this thread have brought up of x offering to stop you from going to a certain map. What if someone uses a offering to stop them from going to hawkins but someone else uses a offering to send them to hawkins? Would the person who wants to go to hawkins keep their offering, due to it being negated by the offering that stops you from going to x map? That or would their offering be used up like normal, as if two people used say different map offerings, like one for hawkins and another for The Game?

Maybe get rid of Mori Offerings. Anything survivor sided gets complained about but nobody addresses the strength of Killer items. Survivors have map offering strength (odds are better at 4-1) which is still useless. Survivors don’t have good offerings that impact the game like killers can. They can only gain additional bloodpoints. They have a tree branch that can be countered with Putrid tree branch. What do they have that killers can’t counter? Map percentage chance? But killers get Mori’s? Where’s the survivor counter for that? There is none.
map offerings 😂 yeah okay. Everyone deserves to have an impact on where to go. Maps that aren’t being played as much due to vast number of maps available. I think it’s necessary.

Yeah, I get that. While I have never played Meyers, I love the vids of other people playing that build. I'm thinking of this as a more temporary thing until they can get maps balanced a little better.
That's why I said "at least until they can get the maps balanced a little better". It's just a bandaid fix, and certainly not the perfect solution. I really wouldn't want to see the gimmick builds permanently harmed.

i don't mean to be rude, but moris and killer items in general have nothing to do with map offerings. you might want to save that statement for another topic. ^^'
now, for my take on this; map offerings are in everybody's control, therefore it's going to have pros and cons. "randomizing" maps and keeping it random could impact how certain perk builds are set up for specific maps for both sides. as someone else stated, this can make it boring relatively quickly.
i would propose an idea to set up ways to do matchmaking search options similar do how other games do it; you set up your preferred way to play and search for players similar to your ruleset, just so this could give people an option to play with random maps or allow offerings to run their course, but that risks splitting up the playerbase.

######### does that have to do with map offerings? Why do you have to bring your survivor main BS into a thread about something that affects both sides? Maps negatively affect both sides. If you want to complain about mori's, find another thread that is relevant to that.
