Does pyramid heads power work with BBQ
The power to send people to cages and such. Does it work with things like BBQ and Pop?

I'm asking for someone who does have ptb

It shouldn’t

If I recall correctly (but please try it for yourself just to be safe), sending someone to a cage does not activate hook perks. You'll have to decide if you want to immediately send them to a cage or carry them to a hook to activate your hook perks.
They do, however, mix and match. If you hook someone once and send them to the cage the next time, then the next time you down them it'll count as them being on death hook and allow you to use the mini-mori if they have torment.

That's disappointing. Without pop it might be a rough time. With Ruin being gone pop is the only reliable way to slow gens and this killer has no map pressure.
On top of that not getting the bloodpoint bonus feels bad man.

The killer has a built in mori, built in DS counter and can completely ignore pallets and hit through walls. You're aware they have to BALANCE new content, right?

What about devour hope?

The Mori is only on death hook. I wouldn't count that as part of it. But when half of the killers power makes 2 of the most reliable perks in the game useless it's concerning, yeah.

You can still just hook normally. Pyramid Head does the same when it comes to the Hook Mechanic as every other Killer AND he has a Bonus. So nothing is lost.

Right but it effectively eliminates half his power
All the good slowdown perks involve hooking or picking up a survivor
Pop
Thrilling
BBQ
Ruin is useless now especially since it buffs the new survivor perk that everyone will run. Thana is useless on him he won't get lots of injures. Overcharge is a joke. Corrupt still works but only lasts the early game. Based on his power he can't apply onhit effects with it.
So what's this guy's build gonna be? He has none.

The problem is you typically need some way to know where to go next after a hook. BBQ and thrilling are great for that. Some killers have their power they can use. But this guy has neither. He gets a hook then wanders around because you don't know where the next group of survivors is.

It is a simple Trade Off. Want to avoid DS or something like a Pallet Stun? Use his Power.
Want to get some value of PGTW or a BBQ Stack? Hook the Survivor.

So if you don’t get Pop or BBQ by not hooking them, does that mean they won’t get to use DS since I’m sending them directly to the cage?

So just to be clear, if he sends someone to the cage and they're freed, DS does NOT activate?
