How come Pyramid Head can have all he has

That's the issue you are not going to be able to set up fully every time that is an over used argument that dodges the actual issue with trapper and completely shuts down any point for conversation to address the real issue with him. A Trapper is as strong as the survivors allow him to be at high ranks he's very hard to play unless you sweat your butt off he may be strong at low ranks but just saying oh he can snowball is not a valid reason why he shouldn't be buffed in that case leatherface can snowball so therefore he does not need a rework see how shady that logic is.
Again thats coming from a rank 1 trapper main with almost 4k hours on him.

Honestly, I don't think you should worry too much about Pyramid Head and power creep. Compared to trapper anyway.
Yes trappers set ups and traps are low key a time consuming hindrance and it took them forever to make it so he doesn't lock himself in while setting a trap but that being said, Pyramid head doesn't even really have a power. You play at high ranks, every survivor looks behind them when they run, knows loops, and knows how to dodge hatchets, let alone PH's GIANT wind up, and big ass box on the floor that shows you where its headed before it even launches, on top of the powers hit box and delay being astronomically bad. I would rate the current trapper better than PH. No bullshit. All the hype and bad rank 20 survivors saying he's good, ignore it. You have more utility and power in Wraith than PH. Now if they could get his power to work effectively and not miss people when its a single pixel off even though they're standing in the damn thing, then maybe we can talk about his power comparisons. But as it stands right now, he's incredibly overhyped. I love the aesthetics though......but yeah.
Maybe they adjust trapper down the line, one can hope. But with the speed game times are at right now getting that snowball set up isn't really in his control.

Trapper is very close to being strong tbh, if he had more traps at spawn, he'd be very good.

Oh god, I hope not. Trapper, fair enough, he could use a better start.. But if they buff early game, Hag would probably rise to Nurse and Spirit's tier, I mean Hag's already good enough despite her disadvantage in early game, but if they were to buff early game in general, she'd definitely become top 3.
If they were to do that, they'd probably nerf her in some place, like they did with Pig, which would be sad :(
Edit: I forgot how Oni would literally become OP if the early game became killer favoured. Like he'd dominate the meta as the best killer.

Why can't Wraith have at least a yellow Windstorm by default? Why can't Trapper start with a bag by default? Why can't Myer's, Hag, Trapper have maybe their own default, weaker form of CI at the start? Why so many countless things can't they balance and adjust them instead of doing absolutely nothing at all?
You probably know the reason

Well the devs are big fans of Silent Hill franchise, so they wanted the pyramid head to be very elaborated. I love this killer personally <3

Hag and Oni already have plenty counterplay.I don't think they would nerf them or any killer at all.
And unpopular opinion:
The pig nerf that came with EGC wasn't as bad as many people claimed to be.It was unfair anyway that she could pretty much guarantee at least 1 kill in the endgame anyway due to her traps.

They are adding a endgame collapse type thing in the beggining of the match, that will help every killers poor earlygame. wait and see.

As a player who plays trapper a lot, I do kinda agree with you that the traps spawn too far apart. But survivors dont always look where they go. Using both Trapper bags where I start with 4 traps and spawn next to a 5th one. I can easily get my first kill before survivors get 1 hook. Because they all come flocking to the places that I trapped.
The window trap at the killer shack, how cliche it is, catches 90% of survivors by surprise. Like, they think I spend the first 30 seconds of the match picking my nose or something. Nah, while those guys were doing their first 1-2 gens, I trapped a 3-gen, the killer shack and have some spare traps leftover just in case I need to secure the basement.
The average kills I get as a trapper are higher than any other killer, simply because even when its incredibly obvious there is a trap in the hallway, they cant get past it. So they are forced to eat a hit, dead hard, or fall in the trap and get picked up. Let alone that its insanely easy to get STBFL on trapper. So why he does need a tiny change, with his traps spawning closer to the center rather than the outskirts, he doesnt need a big change.

Im not hating on the killer im simply giving an open opinion that while pyramid head is cool and all how come he gets all this powerful stuff then you look at trapper and wraith and they are still pretty much the same as when they were introduced small things here and there but nothing major.
0 -
Again the point is not how good someone is with trapper i 4k pretty consistently with him also STBFL is insanely strong on him but that still does not excuse how outdated running to a corner to pick a trap up is.
Being good at a killer is accepting the downsides they have and adjusting your playstyle around them but even then it still does not excuse how trappers issues are still a very big eye sore again running to the corner to pick a trap up is outdated and needs adjusting.

Well I mean for sure it might looks now overpowered, but sooner or later survivors will adapt and the killer will be propably somewhere on high mid tier. Btw didn't they said that they're gonna look at the older characters in the game? 🤔

It might just be that I'm a veteran Warhanmer 40k player, but I honestly don't see the power creep that much since it is so blatant in 40k.
As for his Torment trenches, they look a little bit more obvious to me and harder to hide. Soul Cages are also useless unless people step in them, so you're left with his ranges option. Still a good power in it's own right, and would still be a strong killer on it's own. Even with all he has, he still seems to have the Doctor issue of fantastic abilities with zero mobility.

It's not about looking op its about how much they are giving current characters freddy doc perfect examples also trapper was already "reworked" as he got a addon pass meaning they probably wont look into him for a long time again he could use adjustments.

I would actually love to see how killer sales increase after the devs announce a buff. Like with Clown's change and the devs mentioning him as the next killer they want to look at, how much will sales improve? 10%? 50%? 100%?!

It's because they're not great at consistently maintaining and vigilantly looking after game health.

I wouldn't say they're horrible but i would say the fact trapper and wraith keep getting ignored and pushed under the rug is very sad wraith being worse then trapper but still these two need a indepth relook on what they can do to make them a tad stronger while not breaking them.

Launch-era killers still suffering to the degree that they do is a solid point in favor of my argument.

Hes not this OP in DBD either.
But ya know, people gonna ######### regardless of what is released.
I guarantee you, that you cant come up with a killer and powers, that is UNIVERSALLY liked by the community.

I sort of gave up on the game, but I did hop back on there to play the PTB as I am a huge Silent Hill fan but I could definitely see this. I don't want to spend my money just to get a killer that's going to be nerfed into oblivion which to be fair they did the same with Ash, luckily I'm an Evil Dead fan so having him just be another skin don't bother me. Pyramid Head is fun to play and could have potential, he's a threat as all killers should be.

But that is the thing, if trapper didnt require time to go out of his way to pick up traps, he'd be insanely strong. It might be boring and/or tedious, and he isnt the most fun killer to try new builds on, but lets be realistic here. Even before trappers traps were indestructible, trapper was incredibly strong. The only downside was that instead of 8 traps, you probably worked with 4-5 traps instead, because the far away traps were probably being destroyed before you could even get there.
The only way I could see trapper being changed where his traps are fairly close to access/retrievable from lockers, is by massively increasing the chances of getting out of the trap. Like, bumping it up from 25% to at least 75% without an animation forcing the survivor to stand still for a second. Traps being faster to destroy and once they are destroyed, the trapper would need to get a new one from a locker. Which, while making trapper less repetative, does change is appeal too. I want a killer that takes some strategy to play, while I also want a killer that is semi-brainless during chases(which, sadly, too many killers are at the moment). And I also would love a glass cannon killer that is incredibly strong in a 1v1 with 0 map pressure. Which dont exist nowadays, because some killers(coughcoughbillyandhuntresscoughcough) who have insane 1v1 are also given a ton of map pressure capabilities.

If you think giving him all his traps is to strong you are sadly mistaken a survivor can follow him around and disarm his traps making them useless until he takes time to reset them the idea he would be stronger then say billy or nurse is completely false while his power on paper is strong its different in game i highly doubt trapper would be this unstoppable killer seeing as how you can still disarm a trap and still trap tech i mean seriously think about it not much would really change about trapper other then the fact he wouldn't have to run to a corner to pick a trap up.

maybe trapper will be the first killer to have legendary abilities like survivors get legendary characters. After you P3 him maybe you can upgrade him to be an all around better character

lmao if only.

So just because its a license and because a handful of people dont like trapper that makes it okay i mean in that case there's people who dont like leatherface therefore he shouldn't be touched again logic works both ways.
0 -
Ah its hard to tell sometimes not saying you in general but i have seen some wild things in the past someone actually used that earlier in the thread if im correct which is why i kinda flipped the logic around it was not to be rude or mean was simply to show how that logic could be used the other way around my bad for not catching the joke again you'd be shocked how many people can be serious.

Oh, I play the yu-gi-oh tcg. I absolutely agree. The DBD power creep is very small compared to other franchises.
But...still there 🤷♂️
As for PH... from the videos, it seems pretty good. Ranged attacks are never bad and insta "hooking" people seems nice. But I can't know for sure until he comes to console.

"a survivor can follow him around and disarm his traps making them useless until he takes time to reset them"
If you let a survivor follow you constantly while they are disabling traps, which take twice as long as placing them, without being able to catch them, that is your fault.
0 -
I think you took that out of context basically a survivor can indeed follow a killer as you can see a killer from a pretty good distance also trapper is huge you can see him bend over from very far the survivor wouldn't have to be right up on him to see him placing traps with that being said that does not change the point made in that post survivors can deny his power with perks and by disarming a trap even with all his traps he wouldn't be op. Also keep in mind survive with friends exist.
0 -
Not really, I get that its sometimes hard placing traps with survivors seeing it. Same applies to hag. Yet there are many traps you can place without being seen.
