Forced Pennace vs Sloppy
I really don't understand why this perk was invented. Protection hits aren't that common and someone going for protection hit means survivors are trading health and gen time to attempt to delay a hooking. That's a trade I'm often glad to take as a killer. Why would I want to discourage people from leaving gens to give me free hits? That's a double win.
Even should you really want to discourage it, why would you ever run this perk when sloppy already exists? You know what sloppy does? Punishes protection hits, you know what it also does? Rewards EVERY hit with penalties on the survivors that pretty much last until healed. No super short 30s limit, no hyper specific conditions. It's just everything Penance is trying to be but better. Did the devs just forget this perk already existed in a more flexible form? Is this what sloppy would have looked like if they were following their current strangly bloated design philosophy from the beginning? Why would I run a "maybe" when "garenteed" is already available? I really don't understand.
