A couple questions

  • So, is the entirety of what the Steam forums currently are being moved to this site forum?
  • How will this affect interaction with the community + where can we expect to see announcements regarding patch notes (on steam, we could subscribe to the discussions and get an update in Steam. Is there something similar we can use, here?)
  • The game is two years old, now. Why the decision to move to a different forum format, now?
  • As far as the community managers, I don't see them very often interacting with the different community-run platforms that have been set up (I use Discord most frequently). Are you guys expecting to interact with the community more actively here than you have on the other platforms?

Would love to hear back! Excited to see where this goes, and I did leave some initial feedback here

    1. I hope to GOD not. The more steps it takes to add a comment, the better, fewer, and more dedicated the users.
    2. Good Question, I hope they respond to it.
    3. Now that this is an offical bE owned Forum, they have complete control...what does that mean?
    • There's No 'equal treatment' of comments or content, bE can filter any and every comment to show only the opinions they chose
    • There are significantly LESS people who will initially use this service and thus 'weed' out many of the "I bought the game and want to scream."
    • More than anything, bE now holds all the keys, ONLY what they want will be displayed, shared, allowed to be seen or commented on. From a business standpoint, it's what you want with your consumers..."Have steam decide what is acceptable or not? No Thank You."
    • This also means that bE can share less 'appropriate' art work or similar. In recent days Steam has put in a new Algorithm that is attacking anything with excessive 'skin'.
    1. Have you ever tried talking to 10k people all wanting a moment of your time? Try it. It's hard, bE is SUPER new to this. While they still 'interact' they now have the 'famous shades' which one has to develop not to be swallowed by the masses that clamber to them. It's a by product of success.

Yes. I administrate for the DbD community server along with a number of other sizeable servers. My question remains the same.

    1. I think so, I hope so.
    2. The interaction with the community will be so much better.
a forum just for the game was an amazing idea.
    3. Maybe they had this idea just now, or it took alot of time to make, or they were busy.. could be alot of reasons.
    4. YES!
I was never active in the Steam forums, and really a small bit in Discord.
Now I am here almost everyday and excited to see what other players are talking about. :)

    1. This forum is now our official forum. All news and announcements will be posted here first.
    2. News and announcements will be posted under NEWS as they were on Steam. We wanted to keep a familiar formula to people that utilised the old forums.
    3. We wanted to positively affect the community by having a place that combines all platforms, where we can discuss topics as a whole, rather than being divided between console users/PC. We want our entire audience to feel welcomed and able to participate, and this streamlines everything for us, meaning we can get you the information as swiftly as possible.
    4. In answer to your last question, Zinc, yes! We should be more prevalent on here :) I know personally, I spend a lot of time interacting directly with people in streams as well, so it's wonderful to have an official forum to interact with people too. I know we've spoken on the discord in the past too, but hopefully we can all get to know each other even better on here.

I hope that helps, guys and gals! :)

Unfortunately you can't get rid of me THAT easily XD I can assure that everyone would love to spend as much time on the forums/in the community as they could, but there are so many things everyone is working on that sometimes it's just not as easy as it sounds. However, I will be trying my hardest to make sure you guys know you have someone to talk to
