Will the graphics update make the game scarier?

The game isn't really scary IMO as of right now. But Looking at the new textures that will be coming to dbd "Soon", it looks like the atmosphere will be getting spookier, and if that's the case I have even more reason to look forward to it.

They said "Soon", and they also said it was included in updates coming this year, so it is for definite this year, but who knows how many more months into this year

I’d say it will be scarier, but still not scary enough to give me the shivers. If they want to make the game more scary, they should focus on the atmosphere. Pyramidhead is a perfect example of good gameplay and atmosphere. From his Terror Radius to the scraping of his blade against the ground.
If they want scary, atmosphere is everything.

It won't be truly scarier, but Hag may make me slam my knee against my desk from her jumpscares more.

It'll help but if they really want to make it scarier, the whole atmosphere needs to be altered. For example, it would be way scarier to hear a bone crunch in a bear trap instead of a loud snap. Or if the wounds were visible on the survivors. Or if Trapper's footsteps were heavier (Maybe not though because of balance and stuff.)

I'll tell you what's scary. Infinite tier 1 Shape, that's what's scary. Been playing this game since Nov. 2018 and he still makes me jump.

The problem is, the more we play, the less scary the game is. Well, it's not like it was spoooky at the beginning, but it could really make you nervous, not knowing what to do in a realm you don't know, against some unknown killer.
This graphical update will most definitely help, but once we get used to it, it'll be like always, at least for people who play this game a lot. It'll probably be scarier for new players, or just people who don't play the game as often as others.

Gameplay makes it scary imo. The time is took to create the map makes it look like art more than anything, that being said the graphics will make it look more beautiful. I don't get scared with trees and walls and buildings, I get scared I won't make it to the pallet

that is, yes, it will be terrifying until that toxic line with pink hair arrives and begins to tbag all over the map (and how to forget blendette? perhaps because of these the devs are forced to change the lighting of the map, that The atmosphere of the maps will be ruined for everyone, thanks blendettes!)

Instead of changing the lighting on the maps, they could just make claudette her own light source.
Whenver the killer looks in her direction they will be blinded with the power of the sun

What's scary is what it's going to do on console. We already can't handle the ######### graphics we have now, yet are consoles have PLENTY OF POWER to do it. What's this overhaul gonna do to us? Make it a flash game???

no, that is toxic claudette prestige 4, instead of blind the killer with a flashlight, just seeing claudette out of the corner of your eye will blind you for two games in a row, and will do irreparable damage to the player's eyes.
