I hate versing utility killers...
Plague, Doctor, Freddy and Pig...
These guys literally forces you to do smth else on top of doing your objectives. Still, even if we do smth about it, they become stronger or sometimes they get free alerts (Plague + Pig).
Doctor never let's you fully cleanse yourself and Freddy just gets tedious since you have to run across the map while he can simply teleport.

While I understand the hate for Freddy, as he has multiple powers, I don't mind Doctor, Plague and Pig as that is literally their power.
For Plague you don't even have to cleanse. I rarely do because if you do cleanse than you're only making her stronger.

I prefer these sort of killers. They make the game more interesting rather than face the exact same type of killer every game.
With Freddy I never wake up unless I'm right next to the clock. It isn't necessary since even the gen slowdown add-ons are quicker than crossing the whole map to get a clock. If someone is awake next to me then they can wake me up but not otherwise.
Doctor is pretty easy to snap out of it. Pigs boxes are easy also since you'll probably search them before the trap is active. Plague is very dependent on your teammates. If they are good loopers and no ones cleanses then it's pretty easy to just stay injured the whole game.

I'm not either lol.
I said an opinion, I never said they were OP.
It's a free world baby, maybe you need to get out and socialize more SMH 😕

Every killer forces you to do something. Trapper forces you to look where you are going, stealth killers require extra observation, Some killers require other actions than just looping... the list goes on.
T1 madness never does anything (except a 1/3 chance of a reverse skill check). So taking you to T0 makes no sense.

Wait wait, Pig gets free alerts if she uses her power? She only gets that if she uses an Add-On, which doesn't mean it's free.
Plus, I would argue it tends to be more of a hinderence to her than any kind of help, because patrolling nearby Jigsaw Boxes are always a good idea especially if a Survivor was recently unhooked.
Also, Tier 1 Madness isn't really a hinderence, like seriously, have you actually played against enough Doctors? Tier 1's skillchecks are not as frequent as Tier 2 or 3, plus they also don't really show the Doctor's aura near you meaning he doesn't have tracking over you. (At least last I checked.)
And you don't have to ALWAYS be awake with Freddy, if you're asleep, stay asleep until you need to wake up. Like if Freddy isn't nearby, then just stay asleep. Chaining both Swing Chains and Rope Swing (his two most "powerful" slowdown add-ons) only gets him 9 seconds btw, so staying asleep while he isn't an immediate threat should definitely be your top priority. You of course should wake up when you can, but when he isn't nearby, stay asleep.
Also Plague's pools are often out of the way and out of reach, even if she has that information on where you cleansed, she most likely won't go towards you because it's a waste of your time. She is only notified of which pool has been cleansed, but not where the hell you went.

Be happy you can go back down to T1 these days. It was a lot more annoying when you could never go below T2 again.

Honestly it was a lot worse when Snapping Out of It was a healing action for the Doc. It basically means if he 3-gens you, you CANNOT get out of Tier 3 because he will smack your buttcheeks down if he has Nurses.

Honestly I prefer these killers actually. It's fun facing a killer who let's you do more than gens and totems. They're almost as fun to face for me as Billy and Huntress are, but I don't think anything will best those lol.

Yeah Yeah, I know all the ways of countering them and how they work.
It's tedious. That's my point.
PS. Sorry about the Pig statement, I should've been more clear. Free as in the addon + Jigsaw Boxes going wild when it's wrong.

I get that, I personally don't like versing certain killers either because they kinda force me to play in a way that isn't fun in my opinion.
Like Trapper. He is genuinely a weak killer but oh my god is his traps annoying.
I much rather face an Infinite Tier 3 Myers, at least I have a chance of escaping if my teammates knew what they were doing. Can't really do that with Trapper if you get unlucky and step in one of his traps.
Though personal preference aside, I think we can all agree that the one thing we want most when we play Survivor is to juke and outplay the Killer during a chase. And certain Killers does make doing that harder and easier for them, but that just means you need another strategy to beat them.
I just got off a wonderful, AMAZING game against Freddy while I was doing Kate's Sing Another Day challenge, and it honestly was one of the most fun games I've ever had in Dead by Daylight. Everyone was double hooked, I finished a gen at the last second and we all escaped almost losing a teammate because the gates spawned so close to each other.
A lot of things should've made that game a losing battle for the Survivors but we somehow got through it with a 4-man Escape, it was exhilirating and amazing.
I think the problem with Utility Killers, at least in my opinion, is that sometimes your teammates just refuse to play any other way making it difficult for you as a Survivor and easy as the Killer because they attempt to try and same strategies over and over again, which these killers definitely hard counter.
You cannot just ignore Pig's RBTs, you have to use that time trying to get it off your head.
You can spend time to run towards an Alarm Clock and wake yourself up against Freddy, but you may be wasting more time than you will probably get back if the clock is on the far side of the map.
And you can cleanse with Plague, but that will only give her access to her more powerful kit or you can risk leaving yourself one-downed as to not give her the power she wants to have.
It's all about risks, really, these killers force a second objective onto you and they pose a threat if you do not complete them in time or complete them correctly.

Well said, well put.
I just don't like having to worry about different things on top of doing gens, cleansing totems, unhooking players and opening gates.
I know they are to prevent those things from happening easily, but my gawd are they annoying to verse 😅
At least, the new Pyramid Head ain't too utility dependent thank god.

So you're annoyed because certain killers make you actually do something besides do the ez hold M1 on a gen and gen rush tactic?
0 -
Well, I never stated pressing M1 was hard or perplexing...
What's up with this forum lol.
I said I just don't like having to do other additional things when I already have to look out for 3+ things to do as a main objective.
BTW, all the stuff that we need to do against these utility heroes are all M1 + spacebars so your argument is pretty off topic lol

1.Your main objective is to do gens which isnt hard at all lmao 2.You only have to go for hook when no one else on your team will or if you're the closest one near them which again isn't hard 3.You only have to get totems if it's a dangerous or powerful hex perk like devour, Ruin doesn't need to cleansed and you can still easily gen rush with it up 4.Exit gates are only an objective at the very end lmao, This entire post sounds like you complaining because you just want the basic vanilla killer that doesn't add anything to the game and I've literally never heard of a survivor actually complaining about doing the very basics of the game and dare I say...actually playing the game so that tells me you're probably new lmao.

Well, truth be told I'm a Rank 4 survivor with 148 hours of game time so... Go figure I guess?
I mean, if playing survivor is so easy and playing killer is so hard, then why do you play what you play?
I don't say those things cuz each roles have equally difficult things to do.
I don't go around saying: Hitting survs using M1 isn't hard at all lol. Pressing spacebars to pick up and hook them isn't hard at all lol. All you need to do is run around the map and chase them which isn't hard at all lol.
I mean, if you disagree fine, but first learn to respect each other's opinion before you voice yours.
