Devs made clear during last stream that not every killer is meant to be viable at high ranks.
This means you can have fun baiting a few low rank survivors in your basement, but if you wanna have sucess switch to billy/nurse.I really dont like that either, but apparently thats how they design the game. Personally, I believe its quite borign to verse the same two killers all day

What devs said during the last stream was that they were too lazy to buff some killers to be viable at high ranks.
This game is not Dota or LoL. There aren't more than 100 killers with 4-5 special powers. In those games yes some champs will have to be weaker than the others but I am sure that you can balance 12 killers in a game. They just don't want to deal with it.
If you want to make an easy killer for beginners that is not viable at high ranks, why would you do that with a horror icon like leatherface anyway?

i'd really like to see sthg like that, since it doesnt feel good at all when you try to use your chainsaw in a chase... most of the time (without add-ons) you wont hit them with it, unless you literally walk right next to them and then start charging it .-.

I have to agree. We shouldn't have to resort to only playing 2-3 Killers because in high ranks it is Meta to play them in order to win. What is the point in having more killers when they will become irrelevant later in the game? Might as well just have Billy, Nurse and Myers only and tell all survivors "Learn these Killers if you expect to reach Rank 1."
