"Camping"
So, I am a relatively new killer, I am rank 9, and I play the Trapper. The teachables I own are : Brutal Strength, Agitation, Unnerving Presence and Discordance (I got Discordance from the Shrine).
When I play, I find someone, hook 'em and after looking if there is someone nearby, I go to the nearest gen. So if I couldn't find anyone in, like, 2 of the nearest gens, I go back to the hook. And sure enough, someone is going for the save. I cut them off, hook them and kinda repeat this process. If I see Discordance light up, tho, I go to that gen and kinda snowball from there. I get called "camper" every. Single. Game. I don't know why, I don't just sit there looking at them, so if I can't find anyone I go the the hook to find people but I guess that's camping. I played games where I just left the hook to go to some other very far gens and, let's just say the Entity wasn't pleased. I don't have any DLC killers at the moment, so no Corrupt Intervention, no Ruin and no Pop.
Am I playing the game right ? Should I "get better" ? Am I camping ? I would like to here your opinion about it.

Ignore them. Survivors seem to call anything that doesn't guarantee a free unhook "camping" or "tunneling" and try to shame killers into playing inefficiently so that they have an easier time. Play however you want, as long as it's within the rules.

You spawned in the map so thats camping and tunneling to them.

Do not concern yourself with the opinion of the sheep.
Most of all, unless they give constructive advice, never listen to the survivors. Your just a bot to them. So long as you play by their rules you will never win.
As for trapper I have to say it. I highly suggest learning how to use Whispers. It's in the bloodweb by default, it's great for tracking and when it's not going off, that means it's usually safe to plant a trap unseen.

Like Orion said: Survivors will cry "Camper" whenever they don't get a free hook. It's especially difficult for killers like Trapper and Demo, who rely on being able to patrol hooks and areas, which might net the label of camper. You gave them plenty of time to get their friend and run, and if they waited too long and you're heading back from the gens, then that's there fault, not yours.
There's nothing wrong with using Discordance either, it's there for a reason, and you might as well get value out of it!

Sounds to me like you're playing intelligently. I do the same thing: if, after hooking a survivor, I can't find anyone (pretty rare), I'll head back and see what's going on near the hook; and usually there's at least one other survivor loitering around. My advice? Play how YOU want to play. What makes the game fun for you? I do have about half the DLC characters but I haven't been lucky enough to find BBQ on any other Killers yet (fairly new when it comes to Killer; I've only got Nurse, Myers, and LF to level 45+). Tracking perks sound like they might help you out a lot. I'd recommend Whispers, BBQ, and maybe Spies (if you can pay attention to the crows mid-game). GL, bro!

they will call you a camper when they hook bomb before you can even finish the kooking animation.

they call you tunneler because they unhook in front of you and chase them
they call you camper because they leave a big scratch mark to the hook and you follow it
they hate you because you get a kill
they mocking you because you too easy
just ignore them there's always toxic survivor every game so don't mind it they just don't realize their mistake and blame the killer

Some Survivors are Just beyond plain stupid. Yesterday i played Wraith and all were injured before the first Gen popped. I down Meg, injured David tried to Sabo, but i got hin before. Hooked Meg, David crawled under her so i can't pick him up. Before i could even try to leave Nea und Claudette Run towards the Hook. BOTH still injured! Both Go down. I hook Nea, but when i returned Claudette also played the 'you can't pick me up' game. Hooked both and was called Camper, Slugger diverse Slurs etc. Im in OPs Rank as a Killer and they we're all Red Ranks.
