How would you change corn maps?

I. Hate. Corn maps. Especially when I'm using Huntress. I'd delete them, if I could. Yet, knowing my luck, I'd then simply get an endless loop of Haddonfield and Sanctum.

So, how should corn maps be adjusted to be livable?

Maybe space it out a little more? So its not quite so thick? Hard to say honestly.

Make it so scratch marks show up on corn stalks. At least up a foot or so above the ground.

Really? I like corn maps on Huntress. Less actual environment obstacles that can stop a hatchet, making long-shot hatchets more viable, especially on corn gens.

I wouldn't change these maps. Not every map is meant to be great for every killer/player.

Make it so when the killer is running through corn their TR and red stain are gone.

Running through a corn field at night while being pursued by a killer should be scary for survivors. The thought of it in any horror game or movie or even real life provokes a reaction of fear, not "Oh thank god, run for the corn field!"

the thing that sucks about corn maps is that there isnt really a way to change them without reworking the entire map (this is mostly at Thompson house and rotten fields)

If you make the corn easier to see through, or cut back on it, the map just becomes a huge deadzone.

    Make farm maps actually interesting.

Corn maps are Just An excuses of a lazy design because the devs didn't think to put soms interesting buildings there, Or loops.

Like it is a farm there is surely some cool design buildings you can use. But no we get 80% corn. So basically a rework we hopefully get when leatherface and Billy get reworked.

As you can see i have a hatred against these maps .

At least make the corn shorter so you at least have to duck to be out of site.... Also Billy needs a cooldown, lol

I would burn that corn to the ground.

As the survivor or killer run through it the corn snaps and breaks much like real life if you trample on some ones crops.

Not only does my blade go swinging through the stalks all the time, but there are two killers with chainsaws and yet that corn still stands. Lame.

the map was made to counter hillbillies mobility so unless youre willing to trade it for a nerf this is another mori vs keys post

I would change the amount of corn on those maps. Rotten Fields should get atleast one Construction more with those hay bales.

Some parts of the corn fields could be flattened (like from a harvester machine or just from walking over) and put there a scarecrown instead with a tiny bit of fence.

You could change the heights of the corn by making some not fully harvestable ones inbetween. Or even include other crops inbetween that aren't as high as the corn.

Wouldn't change it, I find them A-maize-ing though may be make some of the corn shorter in sense like it's growing or been trodden on too much

    How about this:

Killer weapons can cut down the corn 😃😃😃

    Bubba would be very productive.

What I realized is corn blindness isn't as intense when using a perk that increases a killer's FOV (at least for me). So maybe the devs can actually give killers a good base FOV. Still don't know why it's a perk to increase FOV when it should be a settings option.

Force the Survivors to crouch in order to have a chance at hiding in it.

Make survivors oblivious in the cornfield. They can still see the killer, they just have to have a downside like the killer does.

    Same for bamboo on Yamaoka.

Both need something, since console frames can be garbage with corn. : P

Thompson House is allright I think, but the house itself, like many buildings on the old maps, make no sense. Its like its been built by someone who's had a house described to them but never actually saw one. Step up your game Entity ! If you can reproduce the Midwich school, you can build a farm house.

Rancid Abattoir is also kind of ok, moslty because its a very small map, and the brain dead window has been removed in the recent update wich is nice.

Fractured Cowshed is awfull. Its too big to have this many strong loops all along the borders. And the middle is just filled with corn. Also the titular cowshed is a small building tucked in a corner that, again look nothing like a real cowhsed. This map just need a complete redesign to break the border loops and make the cowshed a more interesting and memorable building.

Rotten Fields. Its just corn. Nothing but corn and generic tiles. Its dull and annoying. It needs some unique setpieces to break the monotony of corn.

Torment Creek. I don't know how I feel about this map. Its not as painfull as Fractured Cowshed despite being technicaly bigger. But still too big for low pressure killers. And while the silo is an interesting idea for a centerpiece building, the end result is not very interesting. A good graphic update and size reduction might be all this map need.
