Second Ultra Rare Huntress Add-On idea

I have played Huntress alot, its like my most played killer in this game by far but i always wanted to do something in particular with Huntress that i think could be very cool especially since she only has one Ultra-Rare despite the devs wanting to give every killer two. So if there ever is one added i would like to suppose one:

Iridecent grip:

An Iridecent grip for the Huntresses main weapon, it makes it lighter yet still robust.

  • Removes your Abilitys to throw hatchets
  • Gain the Ability to throw your Main weapon(axe)
  • Axe "pentetrates Survivors" (Meaning if two survivors stand behind each other they both are gonna get hit)
  • On Hit: Axe materializes by the Entity in your Hand
  • On Miss: Lose the Ability to use the basic attack and axe gets stuck in the next object(or floor) go up to it and press the active ability key to pull it out, if this is not done it recharges automatically after 20 seconds (to avoid it getting stuck in unreachable places)

Aditional Information:

  • Does work with almost all Addons including Iri Hatchets however it makes the giant Hatchet able to oneshot on body as well.
  • If used with a Belt add-on, the Belt does not take effect.

Opinions are welcome.

Edit: As i see the wrong of my ways the idea with the headshot was removed

Hmm, my main problem is like the iridescent head. If you are a good Huntress, you are going to destroy survivors regardless of it's one use.

Even a good Huntress dosn't hit every single hatchet they throw

Okay, so what happens when Huntress gets her Axe lodged somewhere she can't reach? Or what if it clears the walls of the map? Is she just screwed with no attack for the remainder of the trial?

How fast does the Axe move? (Since it IS much larger than a hatchet). How big is its hitbox in comparison to her normal power? How far does it penetrate through survivors?

And how are you going to define what counts as a "headshot" when her Axe is nearly as large as a survivor?

No offense, but this just sounds like Iridescent Head with a lot more convoluted steps. I'm sure you intended this as a cool new way to play Huntress that would ideally reward skill, but the reality is that most players would likely just use this as a one-shot melee attack in chase (like how Iri-hatchets are already used). The fact that you could combine the two to gain a ranged one-shot with a potentially massive hitbox and penetrating power would definitely lead to some frustrated survivor mains.

Plus, this would require a lot of Dev time from BHVR. They would need to add in new animations and mechanics for Huntress to be able to do this, as it doesn't adjust her power, it replaces it (with the Axe). Freddy is the only current killer with two powers, but the devs got away with using his old animations (and similar mechanics) between both of them.

Their hitbox models would also have to be changed, as they are currently "Pills" with no "head" for the killer to specifically hit.

As i said the Axe automatically returns after 20 seconds no matter what happens just in case it gets chucked somewhere, where you can't reach it.

The axe is probably slower has not nessacerly a wieder hitbox but more of a taller one if that makes any sence.

Behavior had a headshot mechanic before, however i will be honest thats the feature i just didn't even agree on with myself if its reasonable or not.

They actually did not. The "headshot" was a bug from early dedicated server tests where her Hatchet hits would accidentally register twice (resulting in an insta-down). There never was any kind of "head" to be hit.

Regardless, I'd leave that part out. If the hitbox is tall instead of wide, the Axe would probably just register this "Headshot" every time it hits due to its height.

Not no but hell no. No more weak survivor approved killer addons.
