Beginning and Ending of Chase Questions

Hey all, I have a few questions to get myself familiarized with chases. When do chases start, how far away does the killer need to be from the survivor in their line of sight to start a chase. Second, how long does a survivor need to be out of a killers view to end chase, thanks. I'm trying to figure this out to understand furtive chase in a more complex manner.

From my understanding a chase starts when a killer is looking at a survivor within 12 meters of them while that survivor is running, a chase starts.

A chase ends after the survivor is outside a certain range or the killers line of sight for 5 seconds there or there about.

Would furtive chase make it end earlier maybe? And thanks

Chase starts when the survivor runs in front of the killer (within a certain distance) or the killer hits a survivor.

Chases can end very quickly. It shouldn't take more than 5 seconds of breaking LOS, by my estimate.

Furtive Chase only makes a Terror Radius smaller during a chase. Terror Radiuses don't factor in chase start and end points, that's why killers like Michael and Ghostface can still achieve a chase when their terror radiuses are completely suppressed.
