People like this are the reason I don't play solo survivor
For the love of God people it's not the killer's responsibility to make sure everything is fair and square.
If you mess up and you screw another player over that is your fault not The Killer's and not the person in question you screwed over

I try my best not to tunnel but I'm not going to just ignore survivors playing like morons either.
If you let me walk 10 feet before unhooking, I'm gonna turn right around and ######### slap you for it.
Although I will commonly just slug the person who was saved if I can't get to the person doing the unhooking. It punishes the survivors as a unit for dumb plays but minimal punishment for the person who was unsafely hooked.

Fair enough but the one thing I don't like is when people like this don't take their own actions into account.
It's a lot easier to blame the people you farmed and the killer rather than realising that if you had probably waited the 20 seconds it would have taken for the killer to leave the area you could have got an a safe unhook without any hassle.
Literally each hook stage lasts a minute you do not have the save the person in the first 10 seconds

Apparently I upset her 😂
6 -
This is what (sometimes) happens when you give advice to someone who didn’t ask for it.
7 -
Unfortunately, you get many greedy team mates who try to unhook aswell. And as soon as they see others around they rush to the unhook to get the points. It's a common theme in solo Q. So might aswell just do it, especially when you have BT
0 -
My problem isn't that they didn't take the advice my problem is that they're probably going to continue doing this further along the line because they don't see a problem with it
And if anybody does point out the problem they will blame everyone but themselves that is not healthy gameplay.
2 -
But doing that does nothing but screw over the other Survivor and in that case you're the only one to blame for that.
The killer is not obligated to go after you instead especially when you're handing them free kills.
The reason why solo tends to be such a frustrating aspect it's because you often have to rely on randoms to not screw you over and carry their own weight. As I said to this guy borrowed time a precaution against campers or hard patrolling Killers it is not a free pass to go over and get a cheap save.
2 -
I know it screws over. But here is my experience:
I bring WGLF. I try to make safe rescue. But other mates just rush the hook. Alright they do it once, they do it twice, they do trice. Now I have enough, they obviously going to continue with this so I might just join them and get my stacks.

Survivors always place the responsibility of giving them a "good game" on the killer.
Was watching Alf's stream earlier. He was killer, got matched against a 4-man SWF that he recognized. They were playing ALL of the stuff. DStrikes, DH, UB, you name it. Even had one player with Object, and Alf was playing Hag!
Long story short, he gets a 3k and lets the last guy get hatch. One guy even disconnected after their DStrike wore off and they got mad I guess. After the game one of them comes into his stream and - I ######### you not - says:
"I wish you had played nicer."
Holy #########, man. Really? You're running the whole damn package, even Object in a 4-man, and you wanted the KILLER to be nicer? ######### hell.

Yeah it's annoying

Meanwhile:
Not sure survivors even know HOW to be civil.
6 -
In those situations, I just go for the idiot that made the dumb save and just take a trade.
1 -
Jeez some people can be toxic when they win and toxic when they lose there's not really much you could do to avoid that.
You simply just have to hope that you bump into those who are toxic and actually made the game enjoyable there are a lot of survivors and Killers who do this it's just the vocal minority that tend to call the loudest

Ugh! I got this farming nonsense message from a teammate today. Like I was obviously helping you.
Some people just don't know how to appreciate other people's kindness.
0 -
If someone farms their teammates and I can down them, I will just sit there and camp them till they die and let everyone else go. It's not the teams fault for one jerks actions.
You shouldn't have wasted the energy in your fingertips messaging that person. They aren't going to change.
3 -
This is why I always go for unhooker
- no BT
- no tunneling
- avoid DS
- kill that farmer
6 -
I can hope to run into a unicorn, too. 😂
Honestly, I could type up a long list of complaints, but we've all heard them before.
I can't remember ever having a good, balanced, match where people were civil at the end. It's all blowouts in one direction or another and people being awful.
1 -
You are scum of the earth survivor
0 -
Just take protection hits or flashlight/pallet save to get extra tokens. if you want an additional incentive to take the hits, use metal of man. Also, there's no point in farming the person since if it isn't a safe hook rescue you don't get the token.

No, just the useless Blendettes that hide all game self caring in the corner of the map never doing gens while the killer conveniently has sloppy and escape purely because of stealth and being carried by people doing gens and looping.

This guy really gonna quote and post over and over again instead of just putting it all in one post.
1 -
If I play killer and someone needlessly farms a survivor in my face I will go for the rescuer because I know the crappy feeling of a trash team mate doing that to you. It sucks.
2 -
yep, sums up my main problems with Borrowed Time very well.
"i had BT so unhooking in the killers face is not a "hook farm" or unsafe, its the killers fault when they get attacked again1!"
1 -
People who loose i understand to some point. Those have a reason.
But the most dumb ones are the ones who win and still trash talk...
0 -
I know how to be civil :(

I mean, in my opinion, both sides were on the wrong here. The survivor, even if they have BT, should not be saving the others in front of the killer, unless the killer is camping and there is no other option. And the killer, seeing how that survivor was just farming his teammates, could have chosen to punish that survivor by going after them, instead of just tunneling the people that were unhooked. Choosing to tunnel and then send a message to the survivor, what was the expectation? That they would admit they should not have farmed, but would not mention that the killer tunneled?
0 -
I've always said that bad unhooks are the source of 95% of the issues in this game.
Almost every "camping" or "tunneling" complaint originates from bad unhooks. If you just lurk around every hook and wait a whole 2 seconds for the killer to turn around before unhooking someone, of course the killer comes back and smacks one of you. This happens multiple times in pretty much every one of my games as killer, stop doing it.
1 -
I dont think there has ever been a time in 1700 hours that a survivor wasnt literally looping the person on hook then call me camper.
If youre at the hook, Im not leaving I will chase you like a merry go round around the hooked person but I am not leaving.
0 -
Yeah, I disagree with that.
Playing some blendette today cause killer Q times are insane. First two games have had people hard tunneled at 5 gens. The killers name was along the lines of 'stay mad and bad' and he killed off someone within the first minute of the game cause they got unhooked, stepped into a trap, and then unhooked and tunneled into DC.
He gloats in the endgame screen 'first guy had a rough time huh?' and then I said I wonder why nobody runs DS anymore and I get this....
Clearly mad I took the hatch out in his face.

I mean, look at the situation here.
They got caught right away and were hooked. Unhooked and stepped in a trap, so hooked again. Get unhooked with the killer clearly nearby and disconnects.
How do people come to the conclusion that the killer did something wrong here? What thought process leads them to believe that?
2 -
Agree
0 -
I mean the guys name / build implied he was specifically out to grief people. I believe she only stepped into the trap because she got tunneled off the hook, then she got tunneled off the hook again, even with other survivors nearby. You are acting like killers can't camp, you can't unhook with the killer away if they never really leave the hook. If they went down early enough in the match, genrushing isn't an option against it.
So from my solo Q perspective, there's actually nothing I can do. I could make the safest save in the world, offer myself up to be chased and be ignored. But it won't matter if my teammates are running cutesy head-on builds instead of running builds that will actually help them survive.
0 -
What do you expect when you message someone in a cheeky manner?
"you farmed them 3 times 😂" after 4k'ing isn't a way to start a conversation.
Besides it's not even farming when the killer is hovering around the hook pretty much all game.
0 -
So because their name was rude, the survivor getting caught early was their fault?
So because their name was rude, the survivor stepping in a trap was their fault?
So because their name was rude, the survivor getting unhooked nearby was their fault?
People really need to stop blaming killers for simply playing the game. Stop doing stupid things and the blaming the killer when they simply react.

The jane got caught early enough corrupt was still up. There was no option but to unhook them with the killer nearby. The jane going down within the first 20-30 seconds of the game starting implies they were outmatched, as also indicated by the ranking system. He was also running like 9 self-setting traps; a particularly strong build. Is it my fault as a survivor I get improperly matched teammates who get tunneled out of the game in the first 60~ seconds without any input from myself whatsoever?
I literally ran the trapper after that for 3.5 gens with only 2 teamates alive, earning my escape.
But then the guy also complains about DS after I didn't even use it. Still talks smack when he got spanked. When DS is specifically for situations like those, to at least buy your team some time while you get murdered.
That's why solo Q is horrible, and I only play it when killer Q times are like 10+ minutes.

Now we're veering off into entirely different topics.
The initial point you disagreed with was that most problems are created by bad unhooks. Not matchmaking, bad teams, perks, whatever.
0 -
Guys I legitimately think you're missing out on the point of why posted this.
It was to highlight the fact that there are certain people who don't take accountability when they actively ruin it for their teammates they usually tend to either blame said teammates or the killer.
Now in this situation would it be nice for the killer to not go after the person who just got unhooked well yes but not every killer is going to follow that same rule said and let's be honest they don't have to.
The main core problem is if you had saved that person correctly instead of Hook rushing and just relying on borrowed time to let's be honest protect your emblem score not to the person you would never open that survivor to the opportunity of being tunneled like that.
First the person in question wasn't going to change their methods they were going to keep doing this they might encounter Killers who would go off the then instead of the unhooked person or they might not but if they didn't see that as them being a problem the issue would continue.
