Slugging could do with a Quality of Life update.

Then people should be asking for the Devs to revert the bleed out timer to two minutes as it once was. I have no problem making things a bit more convenient for players on both sides, such as the change to Trappers resetting traps without having to pick them up, I am just against people asking for buffs or nerfs just because they don't like something about the game.
I think the game is in a relatively good spot at the moment and that nothing needs to be drastically changed except for Billys insta-saw, Huntress' iridescent hatchets and maybe some improvements to solo Survivor - though not much since I think the new matchmaking should take care of a lot of the issues (yea, I may be delusional thinking this).
The problem with a lot of players is that they don't play both roles and never consider how difficult it is to the other side. It would be nice if they would try it out.

Killers still slug when there isn't an obsession, it's never solely been about DS, ever.
For what it's worth, I have no issue with slugging but to say it's about countering DS is entirely false.

I know and I never said that it was solely about DS. It was just an example. It is actually a really good method to apply pressure on Survivors to help slow down the game.

Survivor should be able to heal themselfs to injured state as long as at least another survivor is in dying state. As basekit. Being slugged is just annoying and doesnt contribute to a health game.

Take Unbreakable if you don't like being slugged.

Don’t like getting DS’d?
Don’t tunnel or get better at baiting out a DS!
lol

the issue really starts with the killer in this circumstance so I don’t understand why the victim has to change and not the perpetrator
1 -
Because when you play survivor, that's what you signed up for, to be put in a situation where you're the victim and have to overcome an aggressor.

It's sad that they don't understand this.
Why should the Killer change? Their job is to kill as many Survivors as they can and slugging is a legitimate strategy that has been backed by Devs on this forum. You don't like being tunneled, so you bring in DS and BT. Your team can also flashlight save, sabotage and body block. If a Killer is supposed to follow your rules for not tunneling, maybe you should just not get caught if you don't like being slugged.

Soul Guard really isn't going to help that much. Given how powerful it's secondary effect is, hexes are going to be even rarer than they currently are, and the situation here is toxic morons forcing bleed-out which also negates Soul Guards main power.

it isn't even that common + there are perks to counter it so.. no point on that

I sign up for a game over not be a victim.

What if it was just like the hook and you could hasten the timer with 3 "tries" but have the 4% chance it pops you up instead. Then you can die faster if you want, maybe get up, or just lay there if you think someone might come. Killers may also be less likely to leave you slugged if you can maybe get yourself up fairly fast.

Or after the 3rd/4th time of being slugged in a match give a forfeit option.

Or survivors can just stop be babies and deal with it for once

Please just add a prompt to GIVE UP when you are slugged for at least 20s. At least then I can help out a survivor and hopefully give them hatch rather than wait around for the killer to find them.

Another idea would be that the option doesn't show unless there is a 2nd survivor slugged, to reduce killers trying to just slug everyone for an easy 4k.

Crawl to a gen, pull yourself up on it and start repairing.
Crawl to a chest, open it, take the med kit from inside and use it to heal yourself.
Crawl to a safe spot and use self care to heal yourself.
Crawl to the exit gate, climb up and open it
Crawl to the hatch and open it with your key
Crawl to a hook, climb it and sabotage it with your perk / tool box
Blind the Killer while crawling with your torch
Crawl to a pallet and pull it down while they're carrying another Survivor.
All totally doable. Come on behaviour. Just do it!

Just throwing this out there as a consideration for improving the "slug" experience, what if an Unbreakable-esque effect was made into a base-game mechanic but EXTREMELY situational?
Basically, a survivor who had recovered to their max (95%) would activate a "Persistence" timer that would tick down from... let's say 60 seconds as a starting point (this is in addition to the recovery time). If this timer managed to run out without the survivor being interacted with by another survivor or the killer, the dying survivor would be able to automatically pick themselves up into the injured state.
HOWEVER, if they were to consider something like this, I think they would also need to look at nerfing Unbreakable a bit too. My suggestion in this regard would simply be to have that perk completely deactivate after its single self-recovery was used (meaning that its enhanced recovery speed would not be in effect after a survivor used it to un-slug themselves through the perk's ability).

The last thing I want to say about this is if the survivors weren't faced with absolute no escape/no reward/and no option to forfeit for 4 minutes then killers would have no interest in using this mechanic to bm. The more this issue is ignored or prettied up with a new perk the more killers just want to do it to show me they still have it in their arsenal. Nothing makes me put the controls down faster then the thought of facing one of these slugfests more than once in a day/week/month.
