Adding a very rare map that can track killer belongings would be a very nice inbetween item to fill the gap.

    The pink map tracks everything, while the green map tracks generators only. A purple map with radar for another object type would be a nice intermediate.

    There's an add on for this, I believe its red string?

    I know there's an add-on for it. And those add-ons are not needed on a pink map since they're inherent. That's why it's easy to see a logical step-up progression for item grade functionality.
