Does anyone else bring Keys to counter a Mori?
If I escape 60 seconds into the game by finding the hatch the killer can't mori me.
See, Keys and Moris are the same.
You can kill me 60 seconds into the game. I can escape 60 seconds into the game

I chuckle every time someone mentions that Moris and keys are alike. NO they are not. Brand new part used to be the counterpart until it got nerfed many years ago.

I mean I really only bring a mori if i see a full FL squad idc about keys tbh.
Yea mori's kill survivors early on and the only counter play is not getting caught, with keys you just wait until the hatch spawning conditions are meet then you stop doing gens to look for it and escape with whoever your able to bring along. There is also the issue that once you make it to the hatch your pretty much invincible and you can come across a key in the trial or 3 other survivors might bring one.

You don't 'wait' until hatch spawning conditions are met. You have to do gens. All 5 gens to get 4 people out. 4 gens to get 3 people out.
And then you have to find hatch, get everyone together and get out. What is the killer doing during this time? Assert any pressure on the team and keys are useless or used by one person to abandon everyone else.

1 time i played vs killer that took ebony (4 soloQ survs btw) and tunneled off the hook

I: but noone took single item into the game
Killer: But you can always loot it
I: So you moried every surv off the hook just to make sure they wont loot key without plunderers??
Killer: yea
some ppl are just 4Head, and most of them with every lose (in their minds lose) they lose brain cell out of frustration that someone dared to defeat them in video game
but it goes with both sides (but i guess since infinites are gone so 4Head survs dont have such way, give survivors bloodlust to abuse oh wait)

I obviously was not suggesting you do nothing until hatch spawns but lets be honest in a losing game that is what you do you wait for it to spawn and when it does you abandon the gens to look for it. For the killer he has no way of knowing where you went or if you are looking for the hatch unless he saw the key so if you prioritize stealth instead of rushing to find hatch the killer will have even less to go off of to find you.

Keys and Mori are the same.
Both remove core mechanic of the game and can be detrmental to the match experience on either side.
Both require a serious rework or to be removed.
The fact that people are actually arguing over what item/add-on is the worst, instead of all agreeing they need to be changed is baffling.

I think a better statement is "Moris are brought because of keys"
At least in my case. If I see a key I'm bringing a mori.

This is a narrow viewpoint. The more killers bring moris, the more survivors bring keys, the more killers bring moris, and it just goes on and on.
Both need to be dealt with

The problem with both is both sides assume the other is gonna be a dick with it so they use theirs to be a dick then everyone hates Mori and key. If I have either on it’s dead hook or to gain some pressure if it’s a strong swf then only if I’m the last alive or we have no other option but hatch. Other then that I don’t go in “im gonna Mori all these survivors off the hook” or “I’m gonna 3-4 man with hatch”

i would likely to use franklin demise, much better if you have trapper with it than bringing mori

To be honest if you get found downed hooked unhooked and downed again in 60 seconds then you probably weren't going to escape regardless of mori

Keys are fine except for the finding them in chests mid game. Bring a key allows killer to decide how to handle it. Killler playing normally all of a sudden everyone is gone because rng is BS.

It's a bit of a chicken and the egg thing but I see it like this.
You can't see if I bring a mori until the match starts. I can see if your bringing a key. If I bring a mori it's because the survivors started the cycle by bringing a key. As I said previously "In my case". I only bring moris if I see a key. If there's no key I don't bring a mori. Not all killers are like me however. Now a mori from 5 stacks of Devour Hope, IMO that's fair because I had to work for that and it can be cleansed.
