Yellow rank 13 on PC vs ...
Just started out on PC DBD and already I'm getting red rank SWFs with 3 tier meta perks.
You know something isn't quite right when everyone is playing streamers and cake.

It was worse before, all I can say is.... Enjoy those extra 303% bp, worry not, not all red ranks should be red ranks and that goes both ways, but you can clearly see that MM is kinda bad atm, just hope that the new mmr system will be good

Thats a SWF for you. But on the good news according to bE you won the game cause you killed 2 of them. (Pity the game will tell you Entity Displeased 90% of the time regardless of how you do)
Currently Matchmaking is FUBAR. Just yesterday while I was parred up with another streamer we had around 12 games played and most of them we got Yellow or Green rank killers VS a full Rank 3+ team. I ended up giving a few kills to the ones that were really struggling and we appolgised for the bad match making.

This is the lesser of two evils because to make a yellow ranked killer wait for yellow ranked survivors (which doesn’t really exist) means an extensive extensive queue time. So it’s either play against the survivors closest to your rank (potentially purples or higher) or wait over twenty minutes until four solo yellows eventually become available.
The people complaining about this probably never experienced the long killer queue times from about a year ago or just didn’t know this was the best (and most correct) fix available.

I should mention that I normally play on PS4 as red rank killer and survivor but if I were new to this game...

I had plenty of lower ranked players until I hit rank 13, it used to be rank 12 on PS4 when you'd see a red rank.
Lets say these survivors weren't playing double points and go easy on me

Opinions and preferences differ on this. Some killers would rather wait 15-20 minutes to play against yellow survivors they have a “fair game,” against rather than get a game instantly but have zero fun in said game

At the moment is has become easier to reach red rank survivors than killer, with SWF and more fun being on the survivor side something like this for new killers would mean playing near the top division sides far too early and want to either quit the game or only play survivor.
The new "batch" / "MMR" matchmaking system will be interesting once implemented

This is why I don’t get tok upset by matchmaking anymore. Half of the red rank survivors you see aren’t really that good they would be more like green or yellow rank if the system worked right. Secondly, a good portion of low rank players have depipped/smurfed for easier games. After I took a 5 month break I came back really low and absolutely wrecked a SWF green rank team. Post game chat they mentioned how I must have smurfed to be that low because I played against the killers they normally got when they were red and that’s why they depipped to get better games...
