I really shouldn't have to slug for a 4k when I've thrashed a team.
5 gens left, 3 people dead in around 5 minutes and the last one gets hatch. I deserved a 4k in that game but he found hatch very fast.
I'm often in a situation where I have to choose between letting somebody escape or wasting another 5 minutes while they pick eachother up over and over again.

As a killer and survivor main I understand your frustration.But not everything is always about deserving a 4K.Sometimes they Are going to escape which is ok and I gotta except that I lost.Other times I’m lucky if I even get a few kills.

Why do you care about getting four kills instead of three?

I'm playing against 4 people. If I play good enough to get all 4 I shouldn't have to extend the game by 5 minutes to secure it.
Killers don't like that, survivors don't like that.

Based on every slasher ive ever seen almost, the last person gets away. Plus this game was broken before hatch. Plus a hatch escape still feels like a 4k. I dont get any extra satisfaction from killing the last person. I know I win, deep down they know I won. Good enough

Yeah its annoying to get robbed of a deserved 4th kill and lose out on pips because of it, but without the hatch the game would be unbearable.
Imagine without hatch, one survivor left, having to complete x many gens completely stealthily, since the moment they're in chase odds are they're screwed. Its hard enough doing an exit gate without being seen, and thats only 20 seconds.
The hatch is a necessity for a healthy game, gives that last survivor a possible escape and lets the killer expedite the end of the match. Otherwise nothing is stopping that last survivor permanently hiding, like was the case early in this games launch

There is really only one situation were you need a ‚deserved‘ 4K: if you attempt Adept achievment. And even then you can get it with one hatch escape if you really were that good (don’t know if that applies to red rank though?)
other cases: you won, even if you get taunted by that last person in end game chat, you won, you don’t need that last kill, they got the emergency escape and they know that they would have died otherwise.

IMO the hatch shouldn’t even spawn if C amount of generators haven’t been completed. It doesn’t teach survivors anything and only promotes pipping that should not have been given in the first place.
Also, It sucks and the devs aren’t helping the survivors on the floor with the sound bug. So that makes the game take even longer than it should because as Killer you cannot hear where they are.
