instead of time bans, put DCers in games with other DCers
I am normally against anything that splits the player base and queues, but I think this would actually be the one time it would be beneficial. Instead of a timeout put DC players into games with other people have the same number of DC. Of course you could do a range so 0-2 would be normal, this protects the person who got that accidental DC or had to DC because of a bug. But people with 3-10 DCs, 11-20, 20+ for example would all be placed together.
Of course they would be very understanding if their teammate goes down first and quits because they know that un-fun things are legit reasons to DC.

Would this apply for killers?
Would that encourage killers to DC to get into lobbies where survivors are more likely to DC and therefore get easier wins?
Other than that i do like this idea.

In addition to, not instead of.

lol Modern Warfare did this to hackers.
Hackers vs Hackers.

If they would lift this BS DC penalty crap I would take this option in a second. People DC because of bullshit gameplay and I support people's right to leave and not be forced into matches with douche nozzles. So yes, lets do this.

I wouldn't care if I was put with survivors who have DC penalties. I leave games when survivor teammates act like my enemy or killers insist on ruining the match for everyone else. I don't play with people who aren't enjoyable to play with. So A) players triggered by that same behavior probably don't perpetuate it B) I'm fine with DCing in solidarity with a teammate if the Killer is an ######### - they don't deserve a full match if they can't play well with others.
Bring on the DC lobbies. 😂

If matchmaking were better youd see noobs 20-16 then dcers and hard face campers 15-13.

Most of the time people disconnected because the game doesn't go their way.
I have had people disconnect because they're the first person down.
I've had people disconnect because they've missed decisive
I have had people disconnect because I was Legion post rework Legion by the way
I had someone disconnect because they got double trapped when I was playing Amanda.
I've had someone immediately disconnects because the killer had no one escapes death
I've had people disconnect because they get in gen rushed
I've had people disconnect because they got looped too hard.
I'm sorry to be this guy but if you didn't disconnect because of a bug, connection issues or the game being taken hostage you didn't have a valid reason to disconnect.

I disagree.
Most people DC because their teammates or opponent are playing in a way that makes the game unenjoyable. What is the point of playing a game that isn't fun? There isn't one. So you DC and find a match that is. That's a valid reason in itself. Sure, some people DC for petty reasons, but thats really their prerogative. Lots of games have a penalty free means for people to forfeit and move on when the match is going no where. This game seems to be one of the few I've played that actually penalizes people for getting away from those who play for the purpose of ensuring others have a bad time. Disconnecting is a completely legitimate reaction in the behavior in this game. As is its cousin, hook suicide.

I think every one of the reasons you listed is fine. I would not be upset if any of my team mates left for any of those reasons, especially because I would not know most of them. But I do not think people should be forced to play matches they do not want to be in, for any reason. Everyone here paid to play and if they don't want to be in a match, for any reason, they should be (penalty) free to go. Punishing people for leaving is ludicrous. I have been in lots of matches where people left and I never did know why. I have been in matches where people DC'd and I could see why and whole-heartedly agreed with there decision. But it has never "ruined my game". I see on here a lot that if you DC you ruined your teams' game, not mine, I could not care less. There are very valid in-game reasons to leave and I don't mind players using DC as an option when they feel the line has been crossed.

I never disconnect during matches because I feel it’s wrong. If you’re up against a killer you don’t like you shouldn’t leave your teammates to suffer. But Also Behavior needs to understand sometimes that people’s internet could go out at anytime and it’s not the users fault.I honestly think Behavior should take down the ban timer until they actually know what they are doing

How about instead of doing that, you don't speed up the queues and reduce the punishment on people who actively go around ruining the game experience for 4 other people?
That makes sense in a game that has tons of players, or has backfill, or has many other things.
You're more than welcome to put people who consistently DC into a huge pool and make them play together for 10 games, though - even if their DC penalty is up. I'm sure you'd be fine with that, right?
