Steam achievement oddities.

I randomly happened to check the global unlock %s for steam achievements and noticed something I didn't expect when checking out Killer achievements.

Oni is likely the least played Killer by a decent margin.

Bloodbath, downing 75 Survivors with Blood Fury, sits at a .5% unlock. That feels rather odd to me seeing how easy it should be to earn downs with BF. Demogorgon is often said to be the least played Killer but his achievement Savage Takedown, down 30 Survivors with Shred, is at .8%. After that is only jumps high and higher in %. Even really grindy achievements have a LOT higher %.

Even Evil Incarnate (kill all 4 Survivor with Shape in EW3) and From the void she kills (grab a Survivor as Nurse after 3 blinks), THE hardest Killer achievements outside of adepts in my opinion to unlock, have insanely high unlock %s at 1.5% for Shape and 2.1% for Nurse. Several Killer ADEPT achievements also have drastically higher unlock %s. In fact there is only 5 achievements in total with lower unlock %s than Bloodbath.

Why is this? I thought Oni was seen as a decent/good Killer. A little slow to start with being just a basic Killer, but has some of the best snowball potential in the game that more than makes up for the slow start. I would figure Oni to have a much higher % unlocks than this. Certainly not dead last.

Probably because it's a newer achievement. Others might be harder, but the players had more time to do them.

And maybe not everybody brought the dlc or some people might prefer Hillbilly.

Deathsinger is the latest Killer and his power use achievement is a 1%.

Bloodbath being a .5% is very much an oddity in my opinion. Demogorgon having a .8% I can expect with most people saying they never see a Demo added with his DLC being the most expensive. Demo is also doesn't have much of a fanbase. Outside of ST fans, there isn't any known names (that I recall) that play Demo on twitch or youtube. Most just call Demo "balanced" and use someone else.

Oni on the other hand has a few backers giving him a fanbase. Scot Jund is well known and loves the Oni. Iv also noticed several other Killer streamers play Oni more often than most Killers due to how good Oni can be and how much fun he is. Yet Oni's Bloodbath achievement is still at .5% even with all that backing.

Deathslinger is getting higher achievement unlocks than Oni and he just came out. Deathslinger is even seen a tad on the weaker side.

I can't explain this other than that is seems no one likes Oni for one reason or another.

I guess most people who tried his power find it hard to master. I played as Oni vs random streamer and she said she doesn't know how some Oni killers do his blood fury work so well. She said she tried to play as Oni and doesn't get any down with his power. In another match as Oni I was blamed in post game chat for "using cheats" because "Oni can't do that turns while blood fury". So I guess most people still just didn't realise how to use his power efficiently.

Atleast in my region Oni isn't played much, but I'm not sure if Deathslinger is more popular here.

I don't play Oni or Deathslinger, so I can only guess, but Deathslinger's achievement might be easier, because it only requires 30 uses of your power, while Oni's achievement requires 75 uses.

From my perspective, Shred-downs seem a lot easier than Blood Fury-downs.

For Shape, everyone has had a lot of time to get them.

For Nurse, also a lot of time + using 3 Blinks makes it quite easier to get the hit if you don't just mindlessly spam Blinks.

Killer Adepts were way easier to obtain at one point.

Idk, to me it seems kinda normal that it's down there.
