Important Kindred question

When I'm using Kindred and someone else is hooked, how do I know if it's just me that sees the auras of other survivors OR if the person who is hooked has Kindred also and the other 2 see each other's aura and my aura? That's vital information. I use Kindred a lot and I'm always thinking that I have no way of knowing if any of the other survivors have Kindred.

I hope that all made sense and if it didn't I apologize in advance and maybe someone can explain it better. Thank you.

I believe that if a smaller version of it appears in blue (to the left of your perk slots) then it means the hooked user has it.

When I have Kindred equipped, the smaller blue version appears to the left of my perks when I'm hooked and when anyone else is hooked as well. It seems I have no way of knowing if another hooked survivor has it as well.

My bad then, Kindred isn't a perk I use often so I wasn't aware.

I believe there is no difference then.

The only way I can think to tell would be if you have a low level kindred and the person on the hook has a higher level then you should see the killer at a greater distance from the hook, but that would be pretty hard to judge and won't always apply

See how your teammates play around when someone is in hook.

If you or someone else is hooked running kindred it pops up in the corner

If your not hooked and it pops up in the corner the hooked person is running it

I wish there was a way to color code the smaller version to the left of your perks so you can know.

Even though its so unreliable I think that this and the observing teammates actions tip are the only way you can kind of decide for yourself if another person has it or not.

You bring up a very good point though, even though it's only a small issue in the grand scheme of things it would be so easy to fix by just putting another icon or a different coloured icon on screen to differentiate the two.

Same with prove thyself even, if two survivors have it then it makes more sense for the group to split into pairs with one PT each and work on seperate gens but the two people who have it can't tell easily if that's the case
