Piggy perk build

Looking for some non-pay perk builds for the Pig. She struggles mightily on the larger maps imo.

I tried Whispers for a bit, and although I have a decent headset my own poor hearing nullifies its usefulness for me. Other perks at my disposal don't seem to combo well with her power. Fearing she isn't too viable without pay-perks on her, so looking for ideas.

And I swear surv get the headgear off first try way too often, plus her add-ons leave much to be desired to me.

Thoughts?

Edit: Should mention I'm on Xbox.

Otz has a few really good pig builds. I'd recommend checking those out since they function pretty well with her slowdown bear traps.

Thanks for the input, and I gave his builds a look. With my poor hearing I have to be more of a visual hunter, so again Whispers is ineffective for me. Every build there had pay-perks unfortunately, but he brought up M&A, which I never considered for my Pig but am going to try.

Appreciated. Another who says Whispers is a must, and alao brings up M&A but explains why which I love. The fov change takes some getting used to, and all of these videos show me that I am def not dashing enough with her!

I would thinking working mostly visually would make Whispers a great choice. My understanding has been that, despite the name, the thing you're really watching for is the perk to light up to tell you someone is close. The actual whisper sounds it makes are secondary/ unreliable.

That said, would the Wraith's Predator and Bloodhound perks be useful to you? They help with tracking by Scratch Marks and Blood Trails and Wraith is a base game killer in all versions.

Whispers, sloppy, nurses,surveillance/make your choice is a pretty good starter perk build on her that only requires base game + herself as dlc. You really should want whispers as it's your alert to crouch or uncrouch. You want to minamize time spent crouching and it's a good cleanup perk lategame.

Whispers and M&A is a really nasty combo, since you know when to crouch, thus saving you travel time.

You don't need to hear with Whispers. Simply notice that the perk lights up.

I've noticed I never look at the perks when I'm playing either role, probably why I get no use outta Spine Chill, MYC, or Devour Hope either. Have to break that habit but my eyes are fixed to the tv all of the time. Something to work on.

" poor hearing nullifies its usefulness for me."

If your relying on the audio que then you're using Whispers wrong. It's not the audio but the whisper icon itself when it lights up that you need to look for when if whispers is active or not.

Whispers and Monitor and Abuse, 2 together are really good for pig. Say if your walking towards a gen and whispers light up crouch and continue walking towards the gen and can prob find survivors without ever alerting them to your terror radius.

Whispers has a 32 meter range, MA reduces your terror radius down to 24 meters.

Also Save the Best for Last if very good, for most M1 killers that don't have some sort of instant down. All depends how you enjoy playing the game.

Good points. Like I said I never look at my perks in-game, which I need to unlearn.

Whispers and M&A are basically staple on Pig IMO. You know when you have to crouch to sneak up which will most likely result in an easy hit or even a grab, if you are lucky and the Server wants to let you grab.

You dont need to hear with Whispers, since the Icon lits up when someone is near.

Personally, I currently run Whispers, M&A, Enduring and BBQ on my Pig. But other options are also fine for me instead of BBQ, like Brutal Strength.

    M&A + Whispers + BBQ + Ruin/Corrupt/PGTW

I like to use at least one game slow down perk on Pig.

Thanks for the suggestions. So without the pay-perks it would be Ruin. As I said i would have to unlearn not even looking at the perk icons in-game.
