Improve Thyself

What part of each roles does everyone personally want to get better at?

For survivor I'd love to get better at making chases longer, I've definitely gotten better than I used to be but I still make very stupid calls that get me killed earlier than I should be just because I didn't pay good enough attention to what the killer is doing

I only played survivor until in recent weeks I picked up wraith and I really enjoy playing him and do quite well in a lot of my games, I really need to get better with my aim though, I whiff hits so much thing the survivor is in range and it can drag out the chase so much

Survivor for sure, I’m not terrible but I do make mistakes...a lot of mistakes. I’ll look behind me too much sometimes, I over judge loops, I don’t find pallets when being chased and other stuffs.

I run into deadzones with no pallets or windows more than I should as well or I'll look behind me and accidentally run into an obstacle

As killer I really need to spend more time playing 1 or 2.

I tend to get bored easily and switch killers almost every match. For this reason (while I'll toot my horn and say I am a good killer) I do not learn the little niche things each has to offer and lose out on becoming optimal.

As survivor I simply need to spend more time learning maps.

Because I play solo I have no problem pushing gens and escaping (selfishly) but knowing tiles/loops on maps is something I need to improve. While I can put up a decent chase I often have no plan as to where I should be running and just hope I'm heading somewhere with a pallet/vault.

I wouldn't mind being better at escaping chases.

I also wanna be better at consistently landing super-lunges, but "Windstorm" is so delicious.

That last paragraph is exactly me hahaha, when I watch streamers play and see them comment about certain windows being up or pallets placings in certain maps it always reminds me of how much I still bave to learn about the game

  • I need to brush up on mind games at Walls and Pallets, its cringe at times.

But honestly I don't want to be too good, cause Rank 1 is not for me.

Survivor, I don't even compare to my old self. My knowledge certainly isn't lacking, but my skill overall and my ability to carry teams in bad situations is definitely lacking.

I want to get better at looping and I also want to learn all the totem spawn locations by heart so it's easier to get rid of them.

The totem one is such a good idea, Idk if you have it but detectives hunch would be a huge help to run for a while to familiarise yourself

Can relate on a spiritual level with the mindgame cringe. Have tried to fake breaking a pallet only to have th survivor keep standing on the other side completly unconvinced more times than I'd like to admit 😂

For killer, I used to play Demo, Ghostface, and Oni all the time alongside Deathslinger, Wraith, Plague, and Legion, and I took a month or so break and I noticed I haven't been doing as well as I used to with them. I'm getting revealed a lot more often as Ghostface, missing Shred and doing overall worse as Demo, and missing hits as Oni that I could've hit easily a month or so ago. On the flipside, I've been doing so much better as Deathslinger compared to before I left. Maybe I've lost my edge or I'm facing better survivors, all I know is that I have to get back on my groove with these 3.

That is a great idea actually, thank you for the tip :D

I want to get better at survivor. I've played a lot of killer in the past year or so and I'm happy where I am there, but I still go full potato when playing survivor. I know what I should be doing, but it's like there's a disconnect between my brain and my hands.

Brain says: Go to that corner and watch for the killer.

Hands say: Go to that corner and wait for the killer to be within sneezing range, got it.

:D it's actually such a fun perk I love it

I do the same with overestimating how close a killer can get before they hit me, especially when I have sprint burst

Everything with killer. Mind gaming and aim largely! It's going to take me a while.

On survivor I don't think I'm a bad looper, but I could do better.

As a survivor I need to learn to loop. I really do. Been playing for three years almost now and I can't loop. I survive by not being chased, or by mindgaming the killers that can't be looped. I'm good at this, I'm in red ranks as a survivor, and got there back when it was harder to rank up as a survivor. But I can't loop.

As killer, handling some of the common tiles better. People've gotten way better at running them since I took my break from the game, and I feel very out of the loop (pun intended) on handling them well.

I just need to improve my mental state overall, but that's not a DbD specific thing. That's true in anything "competitive" I do.

Probably my survivor chases. I'm decent but there's room for improvement.

I'd also like to be able to play Billy at a high level. But I just can't get used to Q and E for steering.

As a survivor I want to be able to find loopable places quickly on the fly. I'm not bad at looping but there are too many times when a killer starts chasing me and I have no idea which way to the pallet and which way to the dead zone.

I guess chases. I mean I'm not bad at them, but there is definite room for improvement.

i wanna get better at hitting my ranged shots with Huntress or Deathslinger...

like, whenever i see content creators do these sick hatchet throws over the entire map or harpoon shots through the tightest holes in a wall i really want to be able to do that aswell...

I'm a better Killer but I prefer to play more Survivor. I use to be good a 360ing Killers but kinda suck at it now. So that's something I want to improve on.

As for killer I'd like to become a better Nurse player but that's not happening when I'm playing with a Controller lol.
