Are new game modes going to be added?

This game gets really tedious after a while, and new game modes would spice things up a lot.

They're not planning on it. Main reason being if they introduced any second game mode they'd split the community between those playing that game mode and those not, and people complain about queue times already. In addition, if the mode wasn't popular, it'd be a massive time sink to make something completely new and not get the reward for.
