I am being punished for DC’s that aren’t my fault

I’ve been playing this game for a few months now and have only now encountered this problem. I play a match as killers survivor and right towards the end of the match I get kicked to main menu. I’m sure it isn’t my internet causing the problem. I’m now up to 6 hr queue time, is there anything I can do? Or anyone else experiencing this?

    Sadly there is no way to tell if you quitting was or wasn't your choice.

    Very recently my game crashed in the middle of a match and I had to wait 5 minutes before I could queue again. I stopped playing for that evening. I was angry that the game punished me for something that really wasn't my fault, even if 5 minutes isn't a very long time.

    In general though, I dislike DC punishments in games where you can't reconnect because sometimes my internet decides to peace out for two minutes for no apparent reason. In other games, that's not that big of a deal. You just reconnect and you and your team can still win. In DBD though, there's no way to reconnect. So basically I feel like the punishment should only happen if you DC and don't reconnect, which in DBD does not exist. Sadly, there's nothing we can do about this...

    I just had a match where it showed the killer DC'd. On PS4. I recieved the 5 minute penalty even though it showed points for all survivors and the killer at 0 pts.
