What are the rules?
I'm going to admit that I am in no way an expert on this game but in my short time as playing a killer I have received a lot of toxicity from survivors for not following community rules that I have never heard of like I was told that I was tunneling because I hit a survivor and then proceeded to follow them so I could down them but when I tried to confirm if this was correct with a friend he said that I have to continuously follow the injured survivor once he got of the hook the problem was that he hadn't been hooked yet. I just feel like there are so many rules a killer must follow to appease the survivors.
Thank you reading and I would love to hear your responses and if you have the time I would like to be educated on these rules.

If you follow the 'survivor's rulebook for killers' then you will lose consistently. You're only task is to keep enough pressure on generators to buy time to kill the survivors. It doesn't really matter how you play you will get salty messages even if you play nice. What you're talking about isn't tunneling and even if it was it's a strategy. Tunneling is targeting one survivor till they are dead while ignoring everyone else. Don't let those players tell you how to play because they are being mean. Watch good content creators on youtube/ twitch to help you learn how to play in a way that is fun for you.
The only rules you should follow are these:

there are no rules, but like on every place you should try don't do what you don't want they do to you
for both sides, examples, if you don't like being tbaged, then you don't do it.
if you don't like have 0 chances to play the game and had to stay in the hook 2 minutes, then don't camp and tunnel.
try to show to the others how you like they play the next time you play with them with the roles switched.
and that is all, you can do it, but if you do it can't say anything when they do it to you.
