Are you colorblind?
Im colorblind with a Red-green colorblindness (Protanopia) statistics say around 8% off all men (and 0.5% of all women) are effected (and 99% of these cases have red green colorblindess) now i tried to raise awareness to a big issue i and probably alot of others have with this, auras are way to hard to see on alot of maps. the red auras are really hard to see on many maps, atleast for me mount ormunt or indoor maps like Game and Lerys are the worsed offenders. But maybe it is just me, maybe its not even my colorblindess. Thats why i made this pool. Maybe only a small amount of People playing this game are actually colorblind, or my case is just so severe that im the only colorblind person to even have problems in the entire world.
So thank you in taking part in this poll.

I am very colour blind and yes it does affect me greatly in game. I have to use the Nvidia colour blind filters when playing as killer as I can barely see scratch marks...I know they are supposed to be red but due to the issue with my eyes they virtually disappear into the ground (indoor maps are a bit easier).

oh, i wasn‘t even aware of this existing
though really i have no clue about the games inner workings but i would think personally that it can’t be so hard to make us customize stuff like Aura-Coloring.

I ironically don't fit in any of the actual things (mild red/green and mild blue/yellow, but not as washed out as textbooks tend to show them), but this is the closest it comes. I can see scratchmarks (usually, the dull ones can blend in), I can see hooks, I can easily see the auras of teammates via kindred, etc. The hard parts are the gen auras/totem auras/trapper trap auras as killer...those are dull enough red that I have a really hard time seeing them on some maps. It's gotten to the point I've stopped playing Trapper as much because I got tired of not being able to find some of his traps.
Oh, and blood. Blood is useless to me on outdoor maps without bloodhound. Indoor maps generally it's a bit easier to see and follow the blood.

You seam to have Tritanopia just a guess though. That is actually increadiably rare. Only less than 1% off humans are effected from what i could gather.

I've only been officially tested for Deuteranopia. Eyequeue says moderate Deuteranopia, moderate Protanopia, and no Tritanopia. So while it'd be cool to be able to say I'm in the 1% of something, I'm unfortunately thinking it's more generic than that. Though, come to think of it, I wonder if it's rare to have multiple color deficiencies at once...
Kind of cool to talk about this though!
Edit: went back and looked at the results more, I was one point off of having moderate Protanopia and that's been more my experience, so I'm going to say moderate.

I do not suffer from Colorblindness
I am not technically color blind because I have never been tested for it or anything but I used to struggle with seeing some colors in other games I used to play (mostly Overwatch) and the alternative color choices helped me a lot back then.
I feel like having different color options for things that the player should definitely be able to see (ehem unlike Blendettes) is a must nowadays. I hope the devs take this into consideration :(

I do not suffer from Colorblindness
Thought I do not suffer from Colorblindness, one of my favorite streamers sometimes says he has Red Colorblindness. I'm just curious if it is easy or not to employ visual functions to help those people.

Well it would help already if we could set the aura colors ourselves or if there would be alternative options for certain colorblindess. Riot has this in their games for examble. In Valorant you can change the color outline of enemys to other colors, what i had to do because i could not differentiate between enemy and friend. And i doubt it would be that hard to implement considering we had stuff like differnt colored hooks on events i would imagine its just an RGB Value that would have to be tweek but again i don't know about dbds code myself, maybe its way more complicated for them to implement.
A point of discussion i think would be blood. Blood on pretty much all outside maps is impossiable for me to see without bloodhound (thats why that perks exists probably lmao) i wanted to test a bunch of games with the NVIDA setting mentioned by Mandy though, trying to see if that works but still not everyone does have an NVIDA graphics card.

Interesting i wasn't aware you could have Deuteranopia and Protanopia at the same time. I would still imagine having a combination of them both is rare.
