Fixated KILLS the Spirit
Seriously, it's so strong against her when used with SB, I've never seen a more effective juking perk. But it's still too situational for me to fully use, but I'm cycling through builds to find a new more fun one. Btw, inner strength is a legitimately good perk lol.

I use it full time now as a fun way to change up my playstyle / builds :D

Until you get injured, then you have no hope. Especially if it’s a stridor Spirit.

Yeah, that's why I got Inner Strength in the same build.

Only hopeless if you lack the ability to strategize

Fun fact, I didn't even get hit in the game lol because everytime she phased, I was able to estimate how long she had left and ran at the last second. Maining Spirit certainly helps when trying to counter her.

Can second this.
To OP, I just have to keep in mind that they have Fixated and adjust my phase exit times to compensate.

Playing both sides makes you a monster..when you play spirit you can gauge her position pretty well..unless she uses hair brooch..then it's harder but still doable

Yeah, people need to understand Spirit if they want to beat her. If you estimate the timing, you're completely fine against her.
1 -
Yeah, I also got IW in the build so even if she did somehow hit me, I can just use IW and juke her then Inner Strength in a locker lol.

Fixated isnt useful against a spirit. If its a stridor Spirit there isnt even any hope.

People in the discord constantly complain that Spirit is op but literally this thread proves she really isn't

Spirit has never been amazing at getting the first hit... she's only god-tier at downing injured people (with stridor)

Because devoting 3/4 perks in your build as a solo survivor (Fixated, Spine Chill, and Iron Will) then trying to choose between Sprint Burst, Inner Strength, Kindred, or any other perk to counter a single killer in the roster is very practical. I get it, Iron Will is amazing and I use it in all my builds, and inner strength is gorgeous. But this doesn't exactly encourage build diversity does it?
Also if you get hit then F.

fixated doesnt kill spirit there is no perk in the game that kills her (in good hands) asides of iron will but most spirits use stridor so, is what it is.
the only perk that counters her quite a lot is spinechill because you can make her waste her ability by creating lots of distance OR hiding by walking wich is even better than just running sometimes, that is an strong perk against her but to avoid the first hit when she phasses not later when u are injured.

Yeah..much like nurse shes designed for high level play..so people are facing spirits higher ranked than themselves a lot thanks to this current match making

Last week I had like 7 Stridor Spirits, all of them instantly phasing back to the hook as soon as the unhook happened. No joke. Not even the same killer everytime. First two survivors hardcore tunneled out of the game, first dead on third hook in the game, second dead on 6th hook. 7 times! Like people say "f* skill, don't wanna learn anything, just wanna ruin fun for everyone"

And it's still a trash tier Perk in dire need of buffing.

Yeah, it only works in a build based around it. I do think it needs the UE treatment, where it also works when injured.

Fixated/SB/Iron Will can cause Spirits to abandon you entirely. That build is used in competitive play for a reason. It's very, very good.

You make an awesome point. I pretty much run those 3 with everything now. Why? Any decent killer will literally follow scratch marks across an entire map (yes I see you huntress that just cant give it up). I run iW to counter all the post hit screaming. It too is extremely powerful. And then spine chill, it is what it is.

Yeah, It's probably my new main build. Not only does it counter Spirit, but it does wonders against Billy or Oni, y'know, the killers that can very easily zone you.

I was actually being sarcastic with the "very practical" part, sorry I should've clarified.

Im pretty sure a sword killed the Spirit, not power walking...

Being used in competitive events in DbD doesn't mean much by itself. Tournaments have varying rules, but often times meta perks are restricted or even not allowed. Same goes for camping/tunneling, which could either be limited, or punished penalized by the scoring (e.g. if kills give additional points, then killers will get genrushed very heavily if they camp). So, juking builds actually make sense in that kind of environment.
