Is pyramid head getting nerfed?
I want to start off by saying I play on console not PC so I don’t have that much room to talk or comment because I haven’t experienced him on PC and I have no idea what his add-ons do or which ones are the strongest, I’m only judging from gameplay on YouTube and I also play both sides equally. In my opinion he seems pretty overpowered because he does have an ability that can hit through walls, pallets, and vaults with NO Cooldown (correct me if I’m wrong), and he can also send you to a cage if you step in his trails after getting downed and again correct me if I’m wrong but if a survivor goes to unhook their teammate from within the killers terror radius borrowed time will not work which means it’s an instant farm and boy oh boy do killers play like jerks now a days. Many people have been saying to crouch over the trails to avoid getting tormented but Pyramid Head can use the trails and his 2nd ability in a chase so how is it that you can crouch during a chase to avoid the torment? I don’t get it? What do you think? I’m all for a small nerf nothing major.

They never let us know how they'll be releasing him, or the patch notes until the day it hits.
Hopefully they tweaked him for the better.

No cooldown? Bro are you on shrooms or something?
He has an unbelivably punishing 3 second cooldown after using his ranged attack, if he misses he gives survivors a ton of distance. And its not like his ranged attack is easy to use neither, you have very limited mobility when using it.

5 seconds.....wow. That's more than plenty of time for a survivor to run to another loop.
######### is wrong with the devs. Crappy Perks that are Dead on Arrival, an extremely punishable High Risk, High Penalty ranged attack.

Yeah from what I seen I understand he has a cool down after he launches the ranged attack but maybe I should of worded it better specially for you, but he can use the ranged attack multiple times at a loop is what I meant until he finally downs the survivor. He doesn’t have to break the pallet unless the survivor is truly juking tf out of him and/or gens are flying.

Yeah a cooldown after he launches the ranged attack. I guess I should have worded it better specially for you, but the actual power itself can be used many times at unsafe loop which means he won’t even have to break the pallet.

If it is an unsafe loop, why are you trying to loop him at it? It's 5 seconds, in that time you can gain 18-20 meters of distance if you play it smart.

I haven’t watched this full video but I believe Trutalent uses it in this video, he’s made several others as well if you go on his channel and watch some of them.

Even if you manage to leave the loop, Half the maps have massive dead zones because of the map reworks so I guarantee you that you’re dead no matter what.

Played the ptb for a while, and i gotta say that his ranged attack is good, but doesnt need a nerf. He's just about as threatening as legion to me as a survivor. He seems extremely balanced comoared to pther killers. I would say hes below oni.

I believe it was pulled off by using Punishment of the Damned when basically on top of a survivor. I believe Janick said it had something to do with it counting as if an M1 had happened as well?
Go to 3:30 or so to see it.

Seriously I found his powers not worth using in the first place. His trail is easily avoided, and so is his ranged attack.

Easily dodged ranged attack
Easily avoided trail that disappears quick and cannont be used to trap gates or gens
Power is barely a hook time savor, prevents camping and tunnling the killers main strats and has no synergy with meta perks like bbq or pop
His own perks are utter garbage...
I would say he needs buffs lol
Least threatening killer since demi. He could be mid tear at best because of his situational midgame but that's pushing it and hoping for potato surviors

Like i brought up in another thread. The issue with killers as of late has been that everything killer related has been toned down. Cool abilities that have sluggishly long stun periods or clunky hit mechanics that make it hard to use. Perks that dont have that big of an effect at best or are heavily hindering at worst. Ifs sad but new killers are built around lowest level of play. So if a killer can kill new players to easily then they are too strong, which makes for some of the weird balancing issues at higher levels of play (Exe how iri huntress is hated for its power) but then you have new killers with arguably stronger abilities ( Oni with instadown from charged up power) . Its hard to balance but as a killer main.... If i lose, I want to lose to good survivors, not lose to the game mechanics

I have to disagree, his ranged attack is like a doctor shock that damages, and it is really easy to fake, sauced pyramid head players will get a ton of value out of it.
His trail disappears after 90 seconds... thats a lot if you ask me, plus, it can easily be used at chases.
You are not meant to use the cages of attornment the whole time, they are useful in some scenarios but they can be really detrimental if used all the time.
By the way, don't you dare insult my boy demo like that! he is a threatening and powerful boy if used correctly.

Coneface is very medium. He's gonna draw in new blood and stomp noobs, which is his real job. You have nothing to worry about once you adapt to playing against him. Since he actually needs some tweaks in his favor, you can rest assured he won't be touched for a loooooooong time (if ever).

He needs some minor buffs actually especially to his ranged attack.

Mmmm even if used correctly hes a bit like a...Restricted huntress hatchet that can break pallets. However Pyramid Head's range attack is pretty detrimental to him and isn't like a doctor shock because doctors shock is much wider but Pyramid Head's is Narrow, slightly longer, and has a .3 or .5 second delay which is pretty big for how narrow it is.

I doubt he'll get nerfs any time soon. I predict he'll have a trajectory similar to MoM. They'll milk as much from the licensed DLC as possible, then MAYBE (and only maybe) they'll revisit the cages to make hook perks work on them.
His ranged attack is actually very good and it makes him a top-tier zoner, because he has almost no penalty to cancel it and he moves at 110% while holding it, which is a lot when forcing the survivors to dodge. I don't think they'll nerf that, though. BHVR showed they're perfectly fine with zoning powers (e.g. Deathslinger, etc.)
