It's coming

Can we have a bit more context?

I think you know what I'm talking about anyways, but it is a game coming out in less than a week. If I had to guess, I think I would be talking about Part 2.

Oh my bad.
I play on Xbox, although it seems like a good game and I may just rob my roommates playstation to play it.

It's more than a good game, if you let it be. To play it proper, you really need to experience it. Lights off and headphones are one thing, but getting in the mood is another. Not a lot of single player games are this hyped and polished.

Seriously, you could count this game as an interactive movie.

I still have no idea what you're talking about.
Maybe I'm just stoopid. That's valid.

Couldn't get in to the first one.
The zombie survival genre has been oversaturated in my opinion.

The last of us is not completely zombies. In fact most of the middle part of the game were fighting humans. The disease is the main thing, but this does not mean that you fight only zombies and there isn't anything more to it. If you want what i described, try the hidden gem re3 remake for $60.

Well I have a soft spot for RE games (played the original when it was released in '96). RE is the 'daddy' of zombie games for me. Saying that, I wasn't overly satisfied with 5 or 6, and haven't played 7. The remakes of the original and 2 are very good, but 3 is too expensive for me at present.
With Last Of Us, I just didn't find myself invested. It's the same with the Uncharted series: I just couldn't stay interested.

Understandable. Just don't fall to the re3 scam. Almost everything is removed from the original. The only thing it's got going for it is the engine. 7 is good if you want first person resident evil, with a whole another set of characters and story.
Still, the fact that you found a true slow paced survival horror experience more interesting than a single player adventure third person shooter just goes to show the difference tastes each person has. I found both games to be unique and well done, especially the remaster of 1.

Oh hell yeah! Couple more days 😀

I really hope it's good. 95% of the reviews heavily suggest that, but I'm still a bit iffy with the whole 'golf' thing. Also hope they improved on the combat, that wasn't great in comparison to pretty much everything else in the first one

i heard combat and i saw stealth have new elements. what's the golf thing btw?

There was a part of the game leaked (cutscene) that people were pretty upset with to say the least

Ah #########, too good to be true

I don't know if I'd trust the reviews. I heard there's an embargo on the later half. I really don't care tbh,but I'm going to grab it. I like to be a part of the conversation. I didn't care much for the first one,but everyone played it. Don't like feeling left out as a huge PlayStation fan lol.

######### it, not worth 60 dollars for just the gameplay. I'll buy it when it's on PC with Factions MP/ sale.

I finished the first one on the highest difficulty about what, 4 years ago? I barely remember the story but jesus man I am still traumatized about that part where you separate from Ellie and have to power the doors. It was a ######### nightmare, it took me 2 weeks to get past it.
Anyways, I am not really excited for part two, the gameplay reel failed to impress me in the slightest, it looked like the first one with better graphics and while I did not really mind most of the leaks the fact that Joel dies in such a pathetic way is beyond disappointing.

I agree that Joel's death was ######### pathetic and he feels left out. At least we got Tommy. He isn't bad at all.
My main problem with the game is that I'm being forced to sympathize with the same female hulk who killed Joel, and I must play as her for like half of the game. Now that gets on my ######### nerves. I don't mind a story being a tragedy or a comedy, but that's literally forcing the player to play as a villain.
The gameplay (for combat) actually caught me though. The BANG to each bullet feels extremely satisfying. The animations seem scripted good. The fact that I can hide under cars or actually be impaled by an arrow that I can remove, is really unique. Not to mention the fact that being shot has more than flinching, because I saw Ellie shooting from the ground after being shot at.
