Survivors keeping torment after being hooked
I just wanted to say So far I love the new dlc, it's exciting, cool and unique compared to other killers, the new cosmetics are 10/10 and the new map looks amazing. It's one of the best dlcs I've played, The only thing I feel like is making my experience less fun is the situations where most Pyramid heads I've faced when I play survivor, It's mostly the same tactic to get easy hooks/cages. Forcing me to go into torment but then they just hook me instead of sending me to the cage because I keep torment after being hooked. Then the killer tunnels me off hook and immediately sends me to death hook (The cage) knowing he doesn't need to pick me up or keep me slugged on the floor with any fear of perks. Then I just get killed when I come out of the cage because I don't have decisive strike, borrowed time or anything to help me in that situation where I feel like I have no hope to do anything.
When I play solo queue survivor, I just feel so helpless going against someone who has that playstyle and it just doesn't feel fun going against someone who can kill me so fast without getting punished. I thought maybe removing torment after being hooked might help that situation in them instances where it feels like I can't do anything about it.

I feel like if you remove the torment when you hook someone, that makes it a decent bit less useful. Either you force yourself to use it during inopportune times so it doesn't go to waste, or you will likely barely get to use it.

I think it's consistent. Madness isn't removed when you're hooked either. In fact, there's no killer-specific effect that gets removed upon being hooked, to the best of my knowledge.

I agree that it should be removed if you're hooked. If you opt out of using it on the first hook for any reason, that shouldn't earn you a freebie for the next. The choice to hook or cage should only last for one instance. After that, if you want the option again it should be earned.
Freddy's dream state.

Can't believe I forgot Freddy. I guess it's a mental block because of how annoying he is.
With that precedent in mind, I still think it's OK. It allows for more strategic play from PH - maybe a hook will be better than a cage, depending on your perks, the game state, where you are on the map, etc..
