Let survivors be able to disable the hooks.I’m sure everyone already knows that most killers try to Keep the game hostage while blocking the only way out.Maybe add another option to escape or make the entrance wider for survivors.

At what ranks most killers try to keep the game hostage?

You can submit a ticket and also report them in-game. It's gonna be a temporary ban but hey if they don't learn from their mistake then it will eventually lead to a permanent ban.

    GRIEFING: INTENTIONAL GAMEPLAY ABUSE

    • Working with the opposite team to gain an advantage or grief teammates
    • Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience
    • Holding the game hostage
    • In-game report REQUIRED / Customer Support ticket OPTIONAL

As far as I’m aware staying near the basement to guard any survivors hooked there is not holding the game hostage.

holding the game hostage is preventing the game from ending. Camping the basement does not do that. I’m sure this has all been said before.

in some cases it can be a valid strategy in the late game after a gen rush. A coordinated team can overcome it.

You can run around the killer coming up those steps you just have to be willing to take a hit. Hes not holding the game hostahe 🙄

Im pretty sure they mean blocking the stairway as this just keeps survs trapped in the basement. Im pretty sure that its greifin if they dont down or move out of the way in a ceartin amount of time.

Assuming they dont have an instadown, the healthy survivor can take a hit to get both of them out.

Trapping an unhooked survivor/s in the basement and never going down to hook them sure.

But sabotaging hooks wouldn’t fix that anyway. If you have hooked people down there and guard the entrance. I’m not sure how that is a hostage situation as other team mates can try for the save or end the game.

hostage situation prevents the game end like before the egc when people would just hide forcing the killer to eventually dc. So I’m told, it was before my time.

Well yes but you have to remember theres those select few who set the "standard" for basements. Some people in this comunity are imo horrible. There are people who are going to relentlessly tunnel and camp lisa just because they dont like that they bought it with THEIR money. Anywho theres people who ruin fun just sitting there not doing anythibg sitting there not hitting or anything. I believe these select few are who the op are talking about.
