I want a drag Queen

I mean if BHR wants to add a new Drag Queen survivor or whatever into DBD, yeah sure go ahead it's their game. I was talking about Drag skins to existing characters since I feel OP kinda implied it. That and few posters here are talking about giving existing survivors these skins.

I get that!
but there was no demand to add it randomly to a survivor as a cosmetic.
someone mentioned Jeff, but they could very well make his Tome about his part-time job as a Drag-performer. (Yeah they are not gonna do that, but it’s still „possible“), we don’t know enough about our survivors that would really confirm it wouldn’t fit at all..

Someone contact Mama Ru and get licensing. I have a feeling she'd want to be "killer", though. :P
While Rocky Horror was a gem for its time, and some what fits horror but in a comical way -- it didn't age well. The word transvestite is a bit controversial and often used in a derogatory sense. Literally I hear Rocky Horror and that song just springs to mind. Might also be difficult to get licensing since the actor passed a while back, but maybe not? Dunno.
Also I gotta disagree with whoever said most drag queens they've known were straight. We've known some very different queens. Most cross dressers I've known were straight though.

I understand his point. I just found it to be bad and funny.

Yeah you didn’t get it.
and talking about bad and funny: I read your first post in this thread.
2 -
grats bro 🤗

Most people who cross dress are straight (surprise!) and nobody said "OR YOURE NOT WITH US". If you don't like something, you're free not to buy it. That's the free market right there.

I mean with all the other issues at hand such as perk reworks, character rebalancing, and things like that if they prioritize something to pander to a specific community I doubt killers will appreciate it.

I'd prefer the Dear Leader be added to DBD but hey if It's what the people want
1 -
But im not gay and i don't even want "gay stuff" for representation or whatever i want a drag Queen because i think drag queens are cool. You didn't even read my post did you?

Literally read every comment, good luck convincing people drag is a non-trans or sexuality neutral activity.
2 -
I don't think the cosmetics department is in charge of game balance. If they were, the changes to characters and perks would come in the form of redesigned icons.
3 -
Yes, men dressing up as women and doing sexual gestures and dances has absolutely nothing to do with sexuality.
2 -
Drag is not trans....what are saying lol. Are you telling me Jamie Fox is a trans man because he wore a dress 😂
Dude i just think Drag Queen cool. Im not gay and im not trying to convince anyone of anything
2 -
it's not gay! don't you and the homies enjoy a ice cold one then throw on 7 inch stillettos while doing eachother's makeup??
0 -
You could just talk to the happily married straight men who dress in drag to find out.
I'll take the word of the men I mentioned above over your notion that a man wearing a skirt can't be straight.
2 -
you're really reaching lmao. whatever you say
0 -
I don't, but some people do, yes. Men used to wear make-up and wear skirts not too long ago, you know.

Jim will obviously be the killer for this chapter.
Speaking of which Jim IS bi and prefers men but no one ever comes at him. That's the power of the dear leaders Charm ya know
3 -
besides we already have a drag queen; clown.

terrible idea dont support, doesn't make sense, is not horror but i still think its pretty scary lol

I must've missed the part where he wore women's clothing.
1 -
I must've missed the part where they said he didn't.

Death of the author is a bad concept.
0 -
Oh well.

You know while attempting to hurl insults you just have justification for why a drag queen belongs in a horror game lol. Face your fears
3 -
And you think all gay men do that?
1 -
People find clowns scary. Are you really going to pretend like wearing makeup, wigs, and costumes can't be viewed as scary?
0 -
Hell no I don't think all gay men do that, blanket statements outside of satire shouldn't be held to any value.

JimPickens: Face your fears
You: Are you really going to pretend like wearing makeup, wigs, and costumes can't be viewed as scary?
Me: Dude literally said the other person should face their fears, what are you talking about?
1 -
People find clowns scary yes....that's why we have a clown in the game. You find Drag Queens scary so you're saying we need one in the game correct?
2 -
What?

The dressing up doesn’t have to do anything with sexuality though.. or if it is then men dressing as men and women dressing as women would have to do with sexuality as well and.. yeah, you get the point.
sexual gestures? I didn’t know that’s something drag queens need to do (but I don’t know much about drag..)
but be assured, they will not add sexual gestures! They even said they don’t want to add any more gestures at all

I just want a fierce queen power strutting at me in liquid black diamonds and stark but beautiful make up. Absolute fire. She has to be Michael Myer's tall too in her 8 inch stilettos. Her weapon should be a scepter. Balance a crown on her Dolly Parton sized wig. Maybe she screams like those "scream queens" from horror movies.
Cross dressers I'm eh about. There's a difference, you know. One is a performance art. The other is more like every day clothes just on a different gender. It's like comparing Beyonce on stage to your next door neighbor Shirley dancing on a bar. Nothing wrong with either, but there's a difference. If they were to do survivor clothing swaps, I could see this being more appropriate.
I want a killer queen though.
5 -
No we're 100% on the same page except id rather have a survivor so i can see them in 3rd person. But yeah they need to the biggest survivor and come with a giant wig. Idc if this makes them stick out, i just won't hide lol
3 -
Well, my tiny opinion is this is as dumb as signifying everyone’s sexuality. A good drag looks like the other gender, if your not willing to put in the effort to reach that level then your just a wannabe who likes the attention of being recognized as a gender pretending to be another gender. So you either put in a character that looks 100% female or male and just staple on a notation that it is Drag or you might as well just give a wig cosmetic to the guys and a fake mustache cosmetics for the ladies.
1 -
That’s not what drag is about. They don’t want to be seen as the other gender, dressing in drag is a performance art (as already mentioned in this thread)
it has nothing to do with the sexuality or gender/gender identification of the person.
2 -
why are they called drag queens then...
0 -
From my short research, it seems the origin of the term is unclear, but I'm guessing it's to differentiate men who dress like women (drag queens) from women who dress like men (drag kings).
1 -
That's a complicated question relating to wide swathes of history and culture that you are almost certainly unwilling to research at all. Despite that you are gonna hang out here, talking about things you have no knowledge of, because when society says 'gender deviance is bad', you say 'yessir, I'll get to misunderstanding it right away, sir!'.
5 -
What does the name even have to do with this?
yeah drag queens are men dressing up as women. But over the top. They don’t want to be seen as women. They want to be seen as drag queens. They are not trying to look natural or that no one notices they are not really women.
3 -
I do agree with the last paragraph.
0 -
you don’t have to agree with it. It’s a fact.
and this should tell you that being a drag queen doesn’t have anything to do with being homo- or bisexual. Or even trans. Or anything about gender identity.
2 -
you're right, it was factual, however the very last line you wrote was opinion, not fact.
0 -
Now in not a part of their culture far be it from me to explain the "point" but go look at a few drag queens and tell me the point is for them to just look like women lol
They just look cool man idk
3 -
No it wasn’t.
no one says they are a drag queen but they don’t want anyone to notice.
you are confusing this with crossdressers (I guess that would be the right term)
2 -
I just want new interesting characters whose whole design isn't solely comprised of one superficial trait they have. That's the best kind of character to me.
0 -
whatever floats your boat

They could add a char that has some Drag cosmetics but some „normal“ everyday clothing as well.
just look at Jeff and his Black Metal cosmetics; it’s a part of him but not pushed into every cosmetic he owns.

Supposedly back in Shakespeare times.
Women weren't allowed on stage so men would have to play their roles. When a lady part came up on a script they would pencil DRAG (DRess As Girl) on those roles to point them out.
