So, DBD Dev Team, you made the decision to give out those 4 specific event cosmetics out to all players with the reasoning that it would be in the best interest for the community.

Then next up, you talk about that legacy items won´t be treated the same way, because those players who earned it have been with you since 2016 (I have legacy clothing too, so I am with you guys since 2016 and I agree, those shouldn´t be given out) and you don´t want to undermine that part of the community.

You are contradicting yourselves so heavily on those two points.

Why is the part of the community that earned those 4 specific event cosmetics not also treated the same way you treat the part of the community that earned legacy cosmetics?

I am extremely disappointed about this decision, I earned those cosmetics by partaking in those specific events. To me those cosmetics are like legacy cosmetics, something special only few players have. Something those players can show off by saying "look I play this long dbd, I have been in those events, I support this game for so long."

It's not like those cosmetics were given out by code so greedy people could sell it on the internet for a lot of money, no those were earned by playing the game. Basically you don´t care about that part of the community and only love your precious legacy community. Way to show respect to loyal players.

Thats not contradicting, thats reasoning. For event items you didnt have to do as much in comparison to Legacy. Thats a undeniable fact, and thats reason enough to not hand out Legacy to players that never went through this hell of grinding. If youre that fixated on showing off some cosmetics, you may have some serious issue with being too much addicted to cosmetics than it would be healthy.

It is contradicting when you say you don´t want to undermine a part of the community and the other are not considered. Shouldn´t that apply to all "parts" of the community?

It´s not about difficulty. It´s about time I spent to aquire those cosmetics. They are being given out for free. It´s like back in school, when you had groups and those groups had tasks. In those groups you had people who actually worked and those that slacked off. Those that slacked off got a good grade anyways, because the hard working ones did the task for them.

I worked for those cosmetics, the others didn´t and get them for free.

I could give two f's about the cosmetics. I have the howling grounds and summer bbq cosmetics. I never wear them.I rarely play the characters associated with them. But the devs are basically saying "we're doing what's right for the people that still didn't get their cosmetics returned to them for those events and therefore we are giving them to everyone for free", but then defending not returning Legacy to people that lost theirs due to the devs crap system. Most of those people lost their legacy due to no fault of their own other than not having the forethought of backing up their game save file. What the devs are saying is contradictory and malarkey. What's good for one is good for the other.

If you can show you purchased the game the day before legacy ended, give those people all legacy cosmetics, end of story (I would not fall into this category and would not receive any legacy cosmetics; so this isn't about me). This would be the simplest solution. Anyone that ever lost their legacy would get it back. You wouldn't have to decide who's lying and who's not. Is that a perfect and fair system, no. Would a few people that didn't deserve it get Legacies they didn't earn, yes. This game is 4 years old. The people that bought this game before that date that still play it has to be a small amount of the player base. Hell, if it would cause people to come back and play, that would be a good thing for us all and make for quicker lobbies!.

We really need to help these people down from the "grind" cross they place themselves on. You had to grind some big bloodwebs with a small bloodpoint payout per game. You'll live if 1K more people pop up in a lobby and have a legacy skin too.

You're still making this point even though it was already shot down and torn apart in your last thread? Damn. Can't help but respect your tenacity and drive to push a nonsense narrative.

Anyway, this point was talked to death a year ago when they first released old cosmetics and the 4 we got now were flip-flopped in being released. Legacy cosmetics and these event cosmetics are not equal. Sorry but its true. Deal with it.

so are people getting these crowns in the future even if they didnt move a finger at this event? so all the effort and matches ruined are worthless thanks to these dumb easter egg simulation and take of the bhvr kneepads its not like you're gettin paid
