Possible DS rework

Slightly modified version of a rework idea from Scott Jund. The idea is to make DS good at anti tunneling but can't be used as an aggressive perk.

DS last for 60 seconds like normal, but is paused during a chase. The current DS encourages you to get downed quickly so you still have it, but even if I got chased for 60 seconds, it is still tunneling.

The second change would be to deactivate DS if the survivor touches a gen or a hooked survivor. Survivors abuse DS to go for hooks and gen rush while they are invincible (especially when paired with unbreakable). A killer shouldnt have to ignore or be punished for going for a survivor on a gen or trying to save. Survivors should prioritize healing up during this time, and could also use the time to find totems.

Scott also recommended deactivating the perk if the killer hooks someone else, but I have constantly hooked one person right as someone else got off a hook, and this change would allow me to go for them 2 seconds after they got unhooked, making DS not good at its only job.

DS is fine as it is.

It's not suppose to act strictly as an anti-tunneling "tool". Devs have already stated that, and the person's idea you are referring to was also told that, and his response was: "They don't know what they are talking about". So I doubt they even understand why DS even exists in this game.

DS changes aren't going to fix the way in which Tunneling/Camping are abused in this game. You are only looking at it from the one perspective where survivors decide to play risky in which most cases they fail.

Not every single survivor who gets tunneled is going to expect you to come back to the hook, but its also not fair for someone who just got unhooked and suddenly gets spotted so the killer decides to break chase with the rest of the survivors just because they are on death hook.

I can give you a list of reasons where tunneling/camping isn't warranted.
