Can't open Steam profiles in post game screen

It is currerntly impossible to open Steam profiles of other people in the post game chat.

That means that it is impossible to get the Steam ID of a hacking Killer, effectively removing our only way to properly report Hackers with the ticket system.

Not a bug: devs removed the option to click killer and survivor names after the match ends to prevent bullying and other things outside their chat. Its on all consoles

So does that mean it's a free pass for hackers if we can't get a steam ID?

Incorrect. At least as far as Survivors are concerned.

1: As either Killer or Survivor (in post-game) click the 'setttings' gear in the lower left.

2: At the upper right there will be an option (name escapes me atm). Click it.

3: You arrive at a screen with a layout very similar to the one reached by hitting "Esc" while in a Trial.

4: Survivor's name, Steam user name, and ping if the user is still in the server; click on a name -> Steam profile appears.

My thoughts: Going to great lenghts to report an alledged hacker is not worth the time nor energy. EAC is there for a reason. Let BHVR handle suspected hackers; it's their burden to bear. No one else's. Vigilante justice only serves to increase that burden.

Using the ticket system has nothing to do with vigilantism. It's just a way more effective way to make sure proven offenders get punished. EAC is not reliable, it catches only outdated and most basic hacks.

The fight against hackers will always be an arms race. No anti cheat system will ever be 100% reliable. Reporting hackers helps keeping the number of hackers lower.

Thanks for the info about the steam ID stuff.

Hey Karon this is on me, sorry! Reading it again today with a fresh set of eyes... yikes was that vague. For the sake of clarity, "vigilante" was in reference to this:

The intention was to prevent you from hacking. <3
