What’s the deal with Fred Krueger?

XenoSero
XenoSero Member Posts: 12

People have told me your boring if you play him. They’ve called me trash while playing as him, and have called me boosted for playing as him again. What’s the craic with Fred man? I don’t pay too much attention to news around him so I’m hoping I can be enlightened by both sides.

He’s a strong killer .... and survivors do not like that.

He's a top 5 killer and it sounds like you won. Therefore fred = bad.

Its because he doesnt require a masters degree to learn to play him. ######### tge haters. Enjoy yourself. It doesnt matter who you play as tgeyre going to ######### regardless

Freddy is, rn, a really strong killer, but just don't pay attention, survivors want to win every single game so they try to make you not play a strong killer. Play as you like with who you like.

Strong killer because he counters 2 killer problems, looping and having to walk everywhere.

Just fuels me to play him even more. I know the snares and fake pallets piss them off just as much as butt dancing and clicky-clicky does us. 😂

Tbh I only have a problem with freddy(as and against) hes too easy to play. He has little to no counterplay, and he's one of the strongest killers. You can get a 4k against red ranks on your first game as him. (I did) I personally never play as him just because I like a challenge. But hey, you do you.

They dont like the blood snares because they cant loop the same rock 20 times before greeding the pallet. Oh boo hoo. They also dont like that he negates BT eventhough all they need to do is wake up. That's asking way too much of them though, they only know how to sit on gens and drop pallets lmao

Basically they're whiny crybabies that dont like to adapt. Hes easy to play, that's not a bad thing.

He's an amalgamation of different killer powers. VERY boring design.

Sounds a lot like playing survivor.

Stop worrying about what those people say. They use "boring" or "annoying" as a veil for "I suck against this killer". Freddy IS a fairly easy killer to play - but survivors truly have to be bad if they are having that hard of a time against him. When you choose either side, killer or survivor, you are under no obligation to make sure the other side has fun. Survivors don't give a ######### if killers have fun, so stop caring about their fun.

And what about when you passively fall asleep mid chase? Or take an M1 hit? Or in the higher ranks meet Freddy running ultra-rares and you are not even allowed to wake up?

I like how you say 'all you have to do to get BT is wake up' and completely ignore how he can proxy camp and always hit the survivor before they make it to the hook; always denying BT and letting him farm the hooked survivor easily.

You're grasping for straws to try and justify your own inadequacy as a survivor. There's no doubt Freddy is easier to play, but you're trying to paint a "he's unstoppable" picture when that's just not the case. Get better. You have all the tools to do it.

I kind of miss old Freddy. I found him entertaining to play.

Because Freddy matches take forever and a day mostly. Between slow down addons and pop he's a hardcore m1 simulator for survivors with easy spam snares with no slowdown for him making chases boring too. He's definitely got the most boring slowdown to deal with out of all the slowdown killers.

Survivors can't accept that they have to alter how they play to face him.

So instead of changing their play style they rather say he is boring op, takes no skill (lol) and overall complain.

Rank 4 survivor man here btw.

I don't like playing against Freddys, but that's just because I dislike his puddle-spamming everywhere and you can even double back on it because it doesn't disappear right away. Also, the Freddys I tend to go against have the same slow down builds and he along with doctor seem to connect more impossible hits than any other killer. That being said, play who and how you want to. Everyone has something in the game they dislike, but it's in the game and it's a free country(I'm assuming where you live). Messaging after game is just to vent their frustration against a killer they dislike or a playstyle they found tedious to go against. Ignore the haters and carry on.

he's the strongest killer for beginners with not much to learn other than teleporting to generators and ur basic slash attack

Lol maybe dont farm after you get hit. As with ANY killer that camps, just do generators instead of trying to storm the hook of the killer who is clearly camping. That's your own mistake.

Nah, I play at rank 1 both sides. I posted multiple videos on here proving that; as well as some videos of me playing snare spam Freddy and rolling over rank 1 streamers. He's the strongest killer you can play for the least amount of skill. The most boosted killers I see in high ranks are usually playing Freddy, because his kit is so strong it carries them there.

No killer is unstoppable, but Freddy is super strong and at the same time allows for really cheesy play since he can bypass BT. There is no "getting better" against him because literally all he has to do is spam M2 at loops and either you hold W and hope there is another loop to go to, or you go down. It's really as simple as that.

I do feel like if hes all the way on 1 side of the map at the furthest gen, he shouldn't be able to instantly teleport to the other side of the map, maybe like teleport to r 1 gen closethan the other side of the map to give survivors a little time, i feel like a lot of people get caught because he comes out of gens people don't even see sometimes lol so lets say theres 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 5 6 7 gens and then hes all the way across the map at 1 and youre at the furthest point generator which we will call 7, he should only be able to go to 6. just a thought cuz a red rank freddy is just a mega sweat build

  • indieeden7
    indieeden7 Member Posts: 3,400

It's most likely because he's rather over kitted, he has a mechanic to help in chase, a mechanic to greatly reduce time needed to reach gens, can passively counter some survivor perks, and passively increase the time it takes to do generators.

  • VSchmitt

Same ######### as spirit. If a survivor can't loop the killer for 30 minutes the killer is "op". C'mon guys, you CAN'T have it all.

His the most boring snooze fest killer to go against. I also main him and he is really strong against good teams and one of the few killers that can compete against SWF (pretty much why I main him). He dosent really requier that much skills and got 3 abilities, one to apply pressure on gen, another to shut down loops, and a 3rd to hide his terror radius perma in the dream state in exchange of survivors hearing his lullaby. Freddy is strong but not impossible to deal with. you are not trash with him but surviviors will always be salty if u dont play a killer they like

Here is my strategy while playing as Freddy:

    • Tape keyboard to head + bash mouse with forehead = Profit

    Or

    • Tape cat to keyboard as it bats mouse with paws = Profit

Very easy killer to play, and easy to 4K with. Ontop of that hes a mix of a bunch of already existing killers. He was very lazily made and just not fun.
