Unable to get crown with Spirit & Swollen Lumps cosmetic

Hi, it could just be a coincidence, but I tried for several games to get the event crown with The Spirit, but even though I had picked up a crown in the game, it wouldn't reward me with it. I was wearing the Swollen Lumps cosmetic each time I tried, finally I removed it and put on the basic outfit and I was able to get the crown the first time I tried.
