I can't find crowns in licensed maps, can someone help me?

I think altars should spawn on them... but all licensed maps are real pain in the ass when it comes to searching for them.

They’re there. Unfortunately some maps are better than others for finding them (much easier on Autohaven than Hawkins, for example).
