is clown good?
everyone says clown lacks map pressure but i don't understand
Spirit needs to walk generators too
i know her ability makes her faster but her power needs to recharge to use it again,so i dont think its a good idea to use your power to get to generators.
(i cant play dbd often but im watched videos about it for over 3 years my english is not good too)

He's not really bad, he just takes a lot of practice. The downside about any killer that can throw projectiles is that there's no reticule letting you know where the object is going or where it's going to end up. And unlike deathslinger and the huntress, the clown's bottles are thrown in an arc which makes it harder to determine where it's going to land.
I wish there were bots in custom matches because it would be a great way to test out Killers without being expected to compete and needing other people to be online in your party. It would certainly encourage a lot more people to try out killers. Personally I want to try out Ghostface but given the rank that I'm at I would be going up against purple and red rank survivors, and I really don't want to do that with a killer that I've never played with before.

I've played my clown to p3 all perks and enjoy him tremendously. I have games where I 4k and obliterate a team and then I have games where I get totally spanked, I dont play to 4k every game, if I want to do that I play my hag but sometimes I just like chasing and not playing teleport-chess

Just making custom games by yourself would be cool too imo. You could try out new maps, look for good trap and portal placements and try new killers !
I agree with all of what you said btw.

"Good" is subjective. You have to define what you consider "Good".
I don't consider Clown good, but that's because my definition of good is rank 1 viable. My definition of viable is being able to have a fair chance of winning against a rank 1 swf squad that knows what they're doing with a few thousand hours each. (the death squads basically)

Garbage

He is not a bad Killer, the main problem I find when playing him is the inconsistency of how the gas works with solid objects, on open field its easy to figure what will happen but in jungle gyms, pallets etc not so much.
Sometimes you toss the bottle, it breaks near a corner, the gas spreads to the other side of the corner yet it doesnt slow the survivor, sometimes it does, sometimes it slows behind a dropped pallet, sometimes it doesnt, the bottles might break against invisible branches especially on McMillan maps and a long etc of consistency issues, I dont play him a lot but everytime I toss a bottle in an area with walls Im never sure of what will happen, will it work? wont?.

I'd say hes decent however he still needs some changes but I say he's not low tier, but not high tier either.

Compared to other killers, he's definitely in the lower half.

I dont think hes bad. I never play clown and I did the other day for a daily and accidentally got a 4K. At rank 1. Lmao

Not at all... why should a killer be good in DbD?
0 -
He's in a spot that, besides you needing to be good at ending chases and cutting loops, you need some luck on maps too... I just find him really fun to play but sometimes it's very upsetting how the match goes even with good pressure and quick ending chases...

After the buff he's legit. Forces fast pallet drops giving him a powerful midgame.

Any killer can be good in the right hands. He's not the strongest killer by far, but he can really mess up a team quite easily. Skilled survivors won't struggle against him, but I've seen so many survivors just fall so fast to him.

Throw it above the jungle Jim.. Try to make it break on a higher level like a tree.. It will spread nicely! Try it

Look. Think of it like this:
There are 3 broad categories a Killers power can help you in:
* Lethality
* Patrolling
* Stall
These can then be further broken down into sub-catagories:
Lethality - Gap Closing, Anti-loop, Anti-Grouping and Max Downing speed
Patrolling - General mobility, tracking
Stall - Direct (ex: Deep wounds), Indirect (ex: Freddy clocks)
Now, Clown's power helps with Gap Closing, Anti-loop and Tracking. It doesn't do that much to help with the tracking part, but it at least does a decent job at the other 2.
However, compared to other Killers this power is doing very little for him. Note that beyond a negligible amount of tracking all of his power is in the form of Lethality.
Now this by itself isn't a problem, however for a Killer with exclusively chase power his chase isn't even that good. Compare him to Huntress, who is amazing in all 4 Lethality sub-catagories. Or Spirit who has amazing anti-loop and gap closing along with some general mobility. Or even Legion, who has one of the best Anti-Grouoing powers in the game along with the best stall and amazing tracking.
Or even Billy with his insane Downing speed with his instant down and gigantic general mobility and a decent gap closer.
Clown has power is as strong as I would expect a versatile power to be, except the power isn't actually versatile. That's why he's considered weak.

Still a lot of times it doesnt affect Survivors, its like if the gas only works horizontal axis and a very small vertical axis, if it spawns on a higher axis it doesnt affect what its under it, even if its touching it. Its not consistent, sometimes what you say works, sometimes it doesnt and there isnt a clear indicator.
I notice this as Survivor too, gas bottles that break near a dropped pallet dont affect me sometimes even when I clearly see im touching the gas.

The only buff he's really gotten is that he doesn't slow down when aiming his bottles. He still needs more tweaking, but it's nice to see that he at least got that. Now they just need to really focus on buffing Bubba.

I have decent hours in clown on high rank play.
his downside is that his reload speed awful so every bottle must have max usage
a very big pro clown can zone survivors decently in chase see his gas more as a go the other way or get hit way (not always if u can throw the bottle just to slow them down)
as for perks that go well with him enduring, brutal strengt, save the best for last are good picks i personally have affiny for agitation on clown bring the survivor to a hook you might want but without agition wouldnt get like next to a gen thats almost done
as for perks that really help him clown is good in chase’s but he lacks tracking thats why you could run whispers with him so ur quick in a chase from the start of rhe match wich should help with pressure

Definitely way better than before, no slowdown while throwing bottles is actually huge

You should give him a good shot and play him a few days. He's actually gotten a massive amount better now that his movement speed slowing power doesn't knock back his speed as much as the survivor it was thrown at. It's actually one of those gamechanger buffs
